DIY Hand Towel Anyone????

Oh yay! You did it!

So excited to see this and I bet @cookingmylife will be thrilled to see a tut for tea towels with no Silhouette involved. It's adorable and looks easy too! Thanks for sharing Katrina!

I can't wait to try it ... my daughter's sweet 16 party is coming up soon ... maybe I can make something using the same technique to remember the day ... hmm ....

Ohhh... I love this!!!

Sort of veering a bit off topic... but I think this would be a really fun way to make decorative throw pillows! Has anyone ever seen plain covers that could be used with this technique? I was trying to look on the craft supply sites, and I just kept finding the forms, not covers.

You could try to find little napkins maybe? Or if you sew, you could cut the towel down into squares and hem. They are pretty big towels!

I love this so much!! I really want to try it!

I have seen covers before...but if you sew they are REALLY easy to make. It was our first project in my learning to sew class I took!

I might have to try that... I have a sewing machine that needs some love. It's just been hanging out in the closet for a while now.

Yes, yes, yes...I was one who wanted to do the tea towels!!! Thank you!

bwahahaha ....and hem? oh but here you're talking to the wrong (lazy) person! Actually, I did make linen napkins in England where real linen was once cheap. I used the zip-zag around the border and then unravel threads.

Those are adorable Katrina. Maybe I'll let the little girls design some towels as one of their summer crafts.

Well ... I figured something out that would work for the party ... I made favor bags following your tutorial idea @KatrinaHunt13. I ordered blank muslin drawstring bags from Amazon and they worked out great ... the girls all thought they were adorable. We took all the girls to a concert in a limo - so the hence the music/rock theme. :)

Thanks for sharing your tutorial and idea with us Katrina ... I can see myself doing this again and again!!! :agree:beat
