It's that time of my life. I'm bored with our regular meals. Summer veggies are fading out to winter squash and fall soups.

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods? I have pork loins out to put in the crock pot BUT we have some errands to take care of for Jay's mom, so it might be fast food tonight or sandwiches and soup.
2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation? Parmesan chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad or green beans
3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved? I made banana bread recently, but was out of flour. I did have a butter yellow cake mix and substituted. Oh. My. Heck. Sooooo good.
4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy? Spaghetti
5. What's a dinner you would eat every night? Hamburgers

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods?
Still recovering from covid so dinner is super simple, browned beef, veggies and cauli rice with cheese.

2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation?
Shredded chicken with salad greens, seeds, avocado, tomatoes, bacon, green pepper and homemade low carb tortilla baked strips.

3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved?
Chicken alfredo (from pinterest). Only had it once but will make it again soon, it was so good.

4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy?
Pizza - low carb pepperoni/sausage for me and meat lovers for hubs.

5. What's a dinner you would eat every night?
Breakfast for dinner...eggs, waffle, bacon/sausage and toast.

I hate to cook, and my "housemates" are picky eaters ... so a lot of frozen pizzas, McDonald's, steak and cheese subs, and eggs and toast for dinner around here.

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods?
Ground beef soft tacos. Made simple with garlic, onion, and chopped up peppers. Chopped up lettuce and shredded cheese to top, along with fresh tomato.

2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation?
Fish (tuna steaks or salmon) or chicken cooked in the same Rice-A-Roni pan with some sort of vegetable (fresh green beens or broccoli work very well). High salt content, but the fish/chicken and veggies are healthy. This is a quick, all in the same pan meal. The variations in flavors keep it from being boring. We typically have this once a week.

3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved?
Crockpot chicken curry. Secret is coconut oil which imparts a touch of richness.

4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy?
See #2 and breaded chicken strips and tater tots baked in the oven. Cut up the chicken when cooked and add to salad. Everything seems healthier if added to a salad :rollin

5. What's a dinner you would eat every night?
Pizza!

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods?
Enchiladas, rice/beans

2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation?
We do a orange chicken that makes even my picky eaters happy. I make rice in the instapot, bake some cubed up & breaded chicken & stir fry some veggies. We have it at least once a week lately!

3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved?
I found a new meatloaf recipe that's a big hit with most of my family, but definitely with our hockey boys we billet. They eat A LOT of food generally & like a lot of protein since they work so hard. The secret ingredient is just the sauce- it's ketchup with dijon mustard & honey. SO good!

4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy?
Chx Caesar Salad for sure! I use chicken tenderloins or breast, cube up, pan fry with seasoning, then pour in my fave yogurt caesar dressing- then dump on chopped romaine! I add some shredded parm on top! So easy, so yummy!

5. What's a dinner you would eat every night?

My hubby is a breakfast connoisseur so I let him cook breakfast whenever he wants! he likes to bake (homemade mind you!) biscuits, pancakes, waffles, scones, etc etc!

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods? Well, my husband made beef stir fry for the family. I don't eat meat anymore (since last winter) so I'm eating (as I type this!) some of my fridge oatmeal. This is one of my favorite things I've learned to make this year. I've been eating it a few times a week since April. I make a new jar once a week. I like to eat it cold.
2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation? This is kind of not applicable. My husband is doing most of the cooking and I'm bored of or dislike everything he makes (pasta, rice and meat, chicken and potatoes). It's ok! I told him I just want him to cook for the kids. Also the kids fend for themselves sometimes. (They're 21, 19, and 16.) I'm happy getting my own food and not having to cook meat and stuff I'm bored of.
3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved? Tofu Feta. I've made this 3 or 4 times this summer. https://rainbowplantlife.com/greek-style-vegan-feta/ I've eaten it in veggie burritos and bowls with rice/beans/pasta.
4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy? Veggie burrito. I always have some veggies and beans and greens on hand. I warm the stuff that I'd like warm and wrap it all up in a tortilla.
5. What's a dinner you would eat every night? veggies, beans, and some kind of grain in a bowl or a tortilla . . . I actually do do this almost everyday. But it's never the same because the specific veg/bean/grain changes.

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods? No idea yet, this week has been so all over the place, i haven't menu planned but last night was https://www.seriouseats.com/the-secret-ingredient-honey-honey-thyme-roast with rice & steamed broccoli, & carrots cooked in the left over sauce in a fry pan while it thickened

2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation? we have a roast chicken and roast veg dinner pretty much every sunday night and while i don't love chopping and boiling veggies and all the washing up it all creates, the fact that it's a sit-down family dinner that everyone will eat and a no-brainer on my part is what makes it a fave.

3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved? i use recipes a lot but no real new ones stick out as great - i make what we call 'swedish meatballs' probably monthly and have done for maybe 4 or 5 years at least and you'd think by now i could remember how much of everything to add but nope, i'm always going back to this recipe that is https://www.atasteofmadness.com/2018/03/easy-meatballs-dijon-gravy.html#wprm-recipe-container-9243 - i can substitute some of the stuff based on what we have and either way (my super picky) DD loves it and i can serve it with veg (or pasta if time gets away from me)

4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy? pasta with mince (ground meat) and a jar sauce - it's less processed and more veg when i have time and energy but even on a bad day, the only thing i really hate is the chopping onions part (i bought a chopper thing years ago but washing it by hand and getting in all the nooks and crannies was more of a pain than the itchy watery eyes and throwing the knife and plate in the dishwasher at the end)

5. What's a dinner you would eat every night? stir-fry anything really (heavy on the veg and a handful of meat with some nuts sometimes for a different texture) over asian noodles of some kind - like a chow mein https://natashaskitchen.com/chicken-chow-mein/#jump-to-recipe

1. So, what's for dinner tonight in your neck of the woods? Cream of Chicken with chicken in the crock pot, shredded and served over noodles
2. What's your favorite dinner on often rotation? Salsa chicken and rice or homemade tortellini alfredo
3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved? Garlic butter steak bites or chicken lo mein
4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy? Take-out :giggle But if I have to cook, probably pizza bread or fancy sandwiches.
5. What's a dinner you would eat every night? Hmmm...for me, some kind of veggie platter or breakfast for dinner.

Parmesan chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad or green beans
That sounds yummy! I'm adding it to my list.

Breakfast for dinner...eggs, waffle, bacon/sausage and toast.
I always forget about breakfast for dinner options!

steak and cheese subs
That sounds good!

Everything seems healthier if added to a salad
LOL! I totally agree. It's my favorite way to eat breaded chicken since it seems healthier.

We do a orange chicken that makes even my picky eaters happy.
That sounds good too! We haven't done orange chicken in a long time.

but last night was https://www.seriouseats.com/the-secret-ingredient-honey-honey-thyme-roast with rice & steamed broccoli, & carrots cooked in the left over sauce in a fry pan while it thickened
Imma need a pork loin for this!

Garlic butter steak bites or chicken lo mein
Those both sound good! Yum.

Red-braised beef noodle soup with homemade noodles

3. What's a new recipe you tried and loved?

What I made tonight & we ALL LOVED it! It was from the recipe book Chinese Soul Food that someone here recommended (sorry, can't remember who). I borrowed it from the library just to check out some of the recipes. It was so delicious.

4. What's your easiest dinner for when life is crazy?
I almost always have some chicken in the freezer. So I'll grill it or bake it and serve it with rice (always on hand) and whatever veggies we have.

5. What's a dinner you would eat every night?
Someone mentioned breakfast for dinner. I LOVE breakfast so I would pick that. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, pancakes...along those lines.
