Hi everyone,

Like Amanda, I'm new to the idea of PL/P365, but I'm thinking about doing it in 2013. I didn't want to hijack her thread, so I'll ask my questions about it here.

My biggest question is Digital vs. Printed/hybrid. It seems from the photos I've seen of folks' projects is that people print out their photos and journaling cards and then put them in page protectors. Is that right? Does anyone do Digital pages? I saw that Valorie has "digital" page protectors -- is that for doing the same setup, only digitally, or am I missing something?

I think I'd like to do something between Project Life and P365. I don't want the pressure of having to do a photo every day, but I like the idea of doing a layout each week with journaling and some everyday photos as well. (I'm a perfectionist, and I know it will bother me if I say I'm doing P365 and then I miss a day.) I want a set format or matching templates to keep it easy and quick/low stress.

Any recommendations on products? Does it make sense to do it 100% digital?

I am Project Life digital girl! You can see some of my pages in my gallery. I have a hard enough time keeping up with this when I go digital, so there is no way I'd stay caught up any other way. I put a free template on my blog for the layout too if you are interested.

Yup I'm doing P365 digital...you can see my gallery for exsamples! I truly love it and although I love paper & glue, I'm too much of a mess maker and if I start that I never get to my other digital everyday pages! hehe

If you look in my gallery, I've been doing it digital and LOVE it... (Sorry, on my phone, otherwise I'd link you :)

Or, in my siggy you can click on my scrap stacks or Pinterest and I have boards in there with just my digital PL pages

And I've attempted P365 every year for several years and fail... this is the only project I've been able to make this far and it's totally because there is no pressure to take a picture every day :)

I attempted P365 this year but halfway there I started missing some days so I decided to just make it into a project life. Less pressure for me to take daily photos. I love the digital option because with an active baby around here it will be impossible to do the regular project life. I do love browsing at other's projects here though, they are amazing! I plan on printing a book of my project life after I'm done with this year!

I know TLP has PL or P365 templates for sale and the usual format is 12x12 with different templates.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and for sharing your galleries! That has really helped.

I'm sure this is probably a really stupid question, but I guess I don't totally understand the digital page protectors. They are clear, right? So do you put them over another background paper, with that paper showing through?

You put them over all so that it looks like a "real" Project Life where (almost) everything is in the pockets.
But you can also place some embellishments over it if you like.

I have the same idea, seeing everyone´s projects I decided to make sth between PL and a photo a day. I will be making pics when I want and then make PL pages, it doesn´t mean it has to be every week. definitely I´ll use Valorie's page protectors. I think it´s much easier to do it digital without the printing mess etc. and yes here are so many examples of amazing digital pages

If I were in the States, I would do mine half and half. I love the look of paper, but I love the ease of digital. Plus I love getting to use my kits for more than a layout, and there are so many fun PL products on the digital market.

I'm going to go totally digital. I will scan or photograph and extract our memorbilia/ephemera (ticket stubs, etc.)

I did buy the actual Becky Higgins Project Life digital templates. I plan on using whatever kits, etc. strike my fancy and I'm not going to be so strict with myself that I can't miss days or whatever. I'm going to go with the flow and have fun.

DYD on the other hand... I'm going to really buckle down and photograph every day and journal every day. :)

I am doing mine digitally as well. This is my 4th year doing project 365. This year I went with the project life format and really like it since I made a template and just use the template over and over again filling in my photos and journaling for each week. I use the template photo protector under my images as I don't like it on top since it makes the photos look distorted. I don't have my pages in the gallery here since I use many different items on my pages but if you look at any of the threads with the week numbers you can see my pages there.

I'm also doing mine digitally, but I just started this month! So, not much experience to share quite yet! I just know I'd never have a chance to keep up if I was doing it hybrid :)

this year i tried doing the hybrid approach... i fell WAY behind. if i attempt this again next year, i will definitely be doing it digitally.
