I have Valories's (digital) page protectors and when I see all the pages here then I wonder if the pictures/cards are really under the protector?
How do you do it? Put the protector directly on the background and everything else above? Or like in real protector above all? Or reduce opacity?

i always put the protectors on top.

i typically use settings like these:
protectorshadow.jpg

but if i want more texture and definition like on this page, i also copy the protector with settings like above, and set the new layer with settings like this:
linear burn, opacity 23%
7 px distance
8 px size
and then i'm setting the layer at multiply blending mode with about 21% opacity.

:)

For the past to pages I've done I didn't put them on the top. It also works to have one layer at full opacity on the bottom and then one layer on the top with reduced opacity. I'm going to try the above, too. :)

How easily these threads get away from the original topic... lol!

On top for me too! :) Definitely going to test Christine's method too.

I've been putting them on the bottom and layering on top. I don't like my photos to be blurry or smudged looking yet I want to see the stitching between each photo.
