So, I'm going to my first digital crop:yesss. Anyone been to one? What should I take? It'll be over two days.

My thoughts so far:
extra batteries for my wireless mouse
laptop with PSE11, photos, kits
power strip, just in case. (I've paid for a seat with power)
?????

I remember my paper days, and dragging so much stuff, and having tired arms from the stuff. Then being annoyed I didn't use it. I'm so excited that I don't have to worry about that! I mean, I won't use all the photos, and kits I take with me, but no biggie, since they aren't separate from my laptop.

I would LOVE to do something like that! Hope you have a wonderful time!

I cant think of anything else you might need? Maybe your camera to document the event?

One thing I always take when I go to crops is a pillow to sit on. The chairs always seem too low to me for working on a laptop all day long. Also, because i sit up a little higher, sometimes I bring something for my feet too. :)

I go to two all weekend crops each year and have for about 6 years. I LOVE them! :) There is nothing like getting in the groove and getting lots done! Something else I've done in the last few years to get prepared for the crop is that I'll actually create folders for the pages that I want to do while I'm there. Then I'll create shortcuts in that folder to the kits and templates I want to use for each page so I don't waste time looking for products. I'll also sometimes copy pictures into that folder so I don't have to search through 200 pictures of each event to weed them down. :)

Hope you have tons of fun! :)

FUN!!! I used to meet some of my friends at Archivers and they would do paper and I would do digi... I think you should be fine with those things... and I echo bringing a camera to take pics of the event... the only other thing I can think of is a flash drive

is your laptop what you normally use, my laptop was not my main scrapping tool, and one time I forgot to install my shadow styles and my favorite fonts on my laptop and I totally regretted it... so if it's your main scrapping device, you should be fine, otherwise make sure you have your fonts and fx styles installed on the laptop

Awesome! I got to a crop about once a month. I always bring a power strip and a really long power cord because you never know how close you'll be to an outlet! And in the years since I've been cropping, the paper ladies all have more gadgets and even laptops and printers that they bring so we all compete for the power.

I always bring a sweater or hoodie. The hall where we crop tends to get cold. And I always make a list of things I want to get done - pages, challenges, organizing because I always need to have a list.

Most crops, I'm lucky if I get two pages done! I am too busy having fun with my friends and the other ladies. Oh and be ready for questions! I find people are always curious about what I'm doing on my laptop! :)

Have a great time!!!!!

Thanks for the ideas! I never thought about a pillow. I used to prepare myself similarly for paper crops, but hasn't thought of that for this one.

My laptop is my only computer, but I do store older pictures on an ehd. I'll have to make sure I have what I want, since I don't want to take my ehd. I hate when I forget things! One paper crop, my mom forgot her scissors. She borrowed mine the whole time!

Good ideas! I'm hoping since it's only my mom coming with me, I'll have time to get some pages done. Although I do know is a big event, and I hadn't thought about curious onlookers! I would love to bring more people to the Digi side.

Maybe I should've asked: is anyone else going to the Expo in Sandy, Utah in March?

Along the lines of curious onlookers, if you have a finished product of your Digi scrapping, bring that too. I always take a Shutterfly book so people can see what I end up with.

YES!!! good idea...

Great idea! I don't have a book, but I do have my P52 project printed out. Maybe I should take some of my favorite pages.
