also because that's where everyone puts all the stuff that they donknow what to do with, or that needs attention.
and make him clean out the papers and dust bunnies under the desk. At least that area is fairly, fairly, safe from an electrical fire as there are multitudes of cords everywhere.
all she said. totally.I like a clean desk. However, when I clean it up my son and husband feel the need to drop papers and other stuff on it. So I keep it strategically messy. Because if it's messy, they drop stuff on the kitchen table.
I miss the idea that computers would create a paperless society. Sigh.
this too - minus the template designI start off neat, but if I'm in the middle of a project & I'm super focused my desk may become cluttered with drink cups, snacks, papers, random things the kids bring me.... But when the project is finished (usually a template pack) my desk gets cleaned off again. So, it really doesn't stay messy for long.
And that's kind of how my house is. Neat and tidy, but you may find areas unorganized if I'm in the middle of a project...but it won't last long.

ok several things:Mine is usually on the neater side (on the surface) because I can't handle chaos in my space for long. But unlike Cheryl, if you look in the drawers it is a mess!
Recently, I had been doing a lot of hybrid planner pages and things got crazy ... Note: I have 3 Ikea White tables in an L shape that make up my desk area ... all 3 were covered!!!

So I spent a good part of a day, last week, organizing and cleaning/purging. I came out with a better system to store the things I like to keep in my planner and use to decorate my weekly spreads so I feel so much better now...Here you can see 1 and 1/2 of the 3 Ikea tables. So just imagine the mess!

1) LOL Justine, i have a system now. the plannering ( i like that verb!) is going well and no more mess.ok several things:
1. this is why i can't go back to paper scrapping and so very rarely hybrid and plannering? just... i can't - i'm feeling stressed looking at your before desk
2. dude! and i thought i had a heap of scissors! (but i understand they all have a purpose!)
3. those (?fabric covered) boards & ribbon organisation and 3 ikea desks?! be still my heart![]()

This is pretty much me, too! I have a REALLY hard time starting a new project (even a digital layout) unless my work table and desk are cleaned off.
I'm pretty adamant about keeping my computer desktop cleaned up, too. If I *really* need something to be at the Desktop level, I actually have a folder on my desktop just to hold those items. That way I have just one thing sitting there instead of 10!
