Day 14: Document your day

So this was today. (We format dates differently here AND we are a day ahead so it's Monday here at the end of the world). DH's first day back at work after the summer shutdown (hence the late start!). It reached 105 in the roofspace, over 80 in the house so we ended up at the beach.

I used my:

Scrap the Lot albums
Busy Days element pack

Day 15: Filled Layout Style

DD was born in England, but was a toddler in Singapore. She was fascinated by weather and the seasons (despite the fact it was always only one thing - hot - in Singapore) and devoured books about snow and winter, and her favourite video was "The Teletubbies in the Snow". So we took her up a mountain in New Zealand and she saw snow for the first time. She walked about looking totally content with life, reciting the dialogue about the Teletubbies. I could imagine her thinking "yes, THIS is where I am meant to be" LOL.

For the MOC "filled layout" challenge.

I used my:

Messy Pockets {Oh my Deer} templates
Iced Collection

Day 17: Username

When I first started digital scrapbooking I lurked for a while before finally posting at the 2peas digital gallery. I called myself 'Singers’ because that is the username I had for the 2peas store. I picked that username because when I started paper scrapbooking and ordering from the 2peas online store we were living in Singapore. Singers was the affectionate nickname for the place used on the expat message boards. I switched to using my own name when I started designing, because I was proud of what I created. And because people often thought I must be a singer in choirs or something. Which I am definitely not. Sometimes I think I should have picked a designer pseudynom, such as The Digi Kiwi, but the fact is I am still very proud of what I do.

I used my:

Here and Now template
Sprout Kit
Marina del Rey Kit

:-)

Day 18: Recipe

I love this photo that resulted from DH sticking his hand (holding his summer hat) in front of the camera just as I took a pic of DD on his phone.

I used my Blue Skies Ahead Kit

Blue solid paper, 1 patterned paper triangle, 1 scatter, 1 word art (Blue Skies), 5 extra elements (fabric phrase tag, epoxy, pennant, transfer and stitched circles)
