Dentists | Pad Patter 12.14.16

I love my dentist, but I hate going to the dentist! I've had multiple root canals, crowns and practically every teeth in my mouth fixed...and I still have thousands of work that could be done. I still have a baby tooth. But right now it's all about the kids. My oldest is in braces and my next oldest just had to have a crown fixed. I'm so religious about them brushing, flossing and rinsing...I don't want them to have the issues that I've had.

I was NOT a good girl when in m,y teens & 20s ...I think I went twice to the dentist in all my 20s.... but I kept my teeth ok, until I diabetes and al the years of smoking did away with most my teeth... I had a great, amazing dentist, near us, disabled bay parking at the door, nice woman, great dentist, she made my partial dentures in 2012.... I just had the top ones that are full dentures now done by the replacement dentist , as Rose left to have a baby....and she is nice, but nothing compared to Rose... I made Sarita go to the dentist regularly and I fought with all my might so she could get braces on the NHS (without paying) and she did have them until March this year I think.....so hopefully she will have a better time without dentists!

OH MY goodness! We went to my kids NEW dentist today!
First off, I got giggling, all the hygienist (were tiny things) were dressed as elves and the dentist as SANTA!! with a beard and everything!
My kids loved the whole thing! The office is full of such upbeat enthusiasm, I was completely just stunned at the professionalism and attention to detail.
Happy mom and
no cavities!!

Now that would be fun! So glad you've found a great dentist for your kids. My dd would have been over the top happy to go if our dentist's office did that.

I usually don't mind, but this past year was not great in the dental department!
I had a toothache for a few months before FINALLY getting it checked - it required a crown.
The temp crown fell off 2 times before the permanent crown was done ... so I had to make a few trips back and forth to the dentist during that period of time - and my tooth still hurt, but figured it would get better once the permanent crown was on. Got the perm crown on and the pain continued. Went back to the dentist and found out I had to have a root canal - AFTER having the crown put on - so ... went for the root canal ... but ... still had the pain ... went back to the doctor that did the root canal and after taking additional x-rays, I was told the crack was down too deep to be fixed with the root canal - so ended up having to have it pulled. (It was a back molar, so thankfully, I didn't have to bridge - but I do have a large "gap" in the back of my mouth now!)

That ended up being a very expensive tooth!!

Oh dear... That sounds awful, I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that and ended up pulling it in the end. That was definitely a hard year at the dentist!
