Decorating help...

Lots of decorating talk around here lately. We are living at my mom's house and soon we will be moving into the basement. It is little and the one room will be our livingroom and bedroom. We will have a tiny kitchen also. This is my first time ever choosing a floor and paint and decorating. I know I want sage green, turquoise, and pink. Happy pretty colors in a dark space. I'm having trouble figuring out what will look good. I was thinking of doing sage green walls, a turquoise bed cover and pictures from etsy in pinks greens and blues. For the floor we will be doing waterproof wood looking stuff. Our couch is tan but i want throw pillows. I just cant find any with the colors i want and i cant find fabric i love to make them. Any suggestions for how to match things up and pull a room together? Do I chose the floor before the paint? Pick the bedspread first? How do I find a bedspread cause I can't find what I want except having it hand made for hundreds which we can't afford? It is super important that this room comes out well because it is tiny and I'm not thrilled living here to begin with. How do you all make your spaces beautiful?

They have AMAZING ideas. Of course nobody could afford most of them, but it's very inspiring for ideas anyway. I love to just look at the picture. I even signed up for their newsletter which has fabulous photos straight to my inbox.

Also, my last quilt I bought at http://www.thecompanystore.com/ and I absolutely LOVE it. (the waikiki quilt). They almost always have a coupon in their newsletter for at least 20% off too and they constantly run sale.
