Darn YOU planner people, enabler extraordinaires

argh! my turquoise beauty won't get here until FEB? what, how can I start the new year in Feb? what is a woman to do?
uhm, order the RED one with PRIME, and it will be here on the 29th, and I can organize and begin the New Year right! I have been using an old leatherbound notebook, but it doesn't open flat, and I find myself only using the right side...bhah..and it is so wicked heavy. I love this idea bullet journaling. But...........I don't see myself printing things to put in it, I think I am gonna be a full on pen gal on this!

I got sucked into it bad. Just ordered my Happy Planner. It was half off on Blitsy.com and they had a $10 coupon for new customers, so it cost me a total of $3! It hasn't shipped yet and I can't wait for it to be here.

I'm having planner issues. Last year, I was in love with my Blue Skies 10x8 weekly planner. I bought it at Target and it was perfection. This year, it's a little different. The inside pages aren't the same. I also bought one that is a little bit smaller but the same idea. I like it because it fits in my purse/bag nicely. The problem ... There is a flaw with the spiral binding and the back cover keeps falling off. I abused my one last year and it was in perfect shape after 12 months. This is upsetting more than it should.

I've also been using just a regular composition notebook as a sort of bullet journal. I'm thinking I might just abandon the planner and keep playing with the notebook. Maybe print out some calendar pages and tape them into the book.

I dunno ...

I'm a planner addict and have quite a few.... :whistle not as many as I used to but still quite a few...lol

Can't wait to see how you use this Anne!!

I am sucked in as well :yup My planner will be here on Tuesday! I'm really excited!

$3?! Wow! Good job!

I did that with my bullet journal. It is a really great place to start, for knowing what you continually refer to it for... etc. :)

How have I never heard of Bullet Journaling before?!!! So I looked it up after reading this thread. It is perfect for me as I already do a simpler, more chaotic version. That is to say that I have a notebook on the go all year where I keep to do lists and jot down ideas etc. Soooo I am now off to peruse Amazon. Thank you Anne and all you other lovely planners for bringing my attention to this :D

oh @KarenB - I have been doing it for 2 weeks now, and love it! I even brought in a budget and goals for my money! I am trying to keep it simple, but think sticky postie note flags are gonna have to happen!
I love, love, love the legend and index, I think that is what grabbed me right off. It is so smart looking! lol

Anne if you go to pinterest and type in Planners you will find LOTS of free downloads for printables on post it notes. I was shocked. You might even just trying typing in post it note printing... But i downloaded some really cute post it note items and it shows you how to print on them at home.

Is there a planner option thread? I bought a EC planner last year and never really used it to it's full potential, but used it enough to *need* one again this year. I picked one out for 2016 and put it on my Christmas list. But I didn't get it... there is a possibility that I'm getting it for my birthday in four days though. However, my husband said that he thought that was something that I needed to pick out for myself (not sure if he's being truthful, or covering for a b-day present). So, this has opened the door for me to look at all of the options yet again :stars

Okay... never mind on the list. I think I'm sold on bullet journals! I've been watching youtube videos this evening (FYI - the closed captioning on youtube is pointless, amusing, but pointless). Even if I do end up getting the EC planner for my birthday, I can use both. I'll use the EC more for scheduling and the bullet journal more for list making and note taking. Given how I plan on doing PL this year, I'm going to need to take more notes.

Glad you have a system in mind, @tkradtke . My biggest problem is that I have five or six that I love for next year and can't narrow it down. If I don't, my productivity will go WAY down, LOL.

I guess I am just not an organized person. I watched the video you linked in your original post for the bullet journaling and after about five minutes I was going crazy. I really only keep a planner for my business and very loosely for that. I have good intentions every year of making it cute and fun but the most I accomplish is using different colored pens for each child. (I run a day care).

I hear ya. Mine's a mess. I promise. Some days I get creative, but most of the day I would be beyond embarrassed to share what I have done. But, I do like the bullet idea. If anything, it's a bound version of my 50 gazillion notes.

I like how easy and just get 'er done they are and feel like I just won a convert...bhahha

your planners are like so amazing to me and I love the look, but the idea of making them makes me curl up in a ball and shiver

this is what I have done for years...pocket calendar, in my purse and a million 3x5 cards of lists all over my house

but most of the day I would be beyond embarrassed to share what I have done.
oh trust me, mine is not pretty, I have no plans to be making videos to show you my chicken scratch...but I love this idea of a planner

I'm thinking of getting the happy planner fitness one. Debating though, since I have so many apps on my phone for that...

I've designated my happy planner as my memory keeping planner (life notes, basically, for my own version of PL). My FC365 is basically my big plans planner. I can carry it with me if I think I will be making plans. Then, I have a my Google calendar for bill reminders, and we have a wall calendar that we look at all the time in the kitchen. My bullet journal is my list keeper. Is this too many?! Lol!

Oh my goodness! Now y'all are making me think I might need at least two planners! And I heard some Michaels have the Happy Planner on sale today. :backing

And I must know @jenevang which 5 or 6 do you have?
