cuppy cakes!

So I have been on a cupcake kick lately and today I made some all by myself from scratch!! lol it was a first for me. I used THIS recipe and THIS icing recipe. I am going to do a little blog post but I thought I would post here in case I don't get to it for a bit. They are perfect for VDay!

PS: I used an action coming soon by Sarah. woot!

PPS: I only used 3 cups of the powdered sugar after reading reviews on the icing and it was perfect

my older DD made these for my bday yesterday

and my little DD made these with me, she insisted on purple icing! but i thought is was fun with the red hearts!

well, your yummy pics made me want cupcakes, so i surprised the kids with some for an after-school snack. now we have way more cupcakes in our house than necessary!
