Cs5

I have a question about Cs5. I'm not sure if I should post here, the photography pad or the scrapping pad, so if it needs to be moved, sorry. I just figured it'd get noticed here first.

I currently use PSE 7. Not that there's anything wrong with it...I love it...I just get tired of having to do a lot of extra work and work around features that don't exist...like layer masks. I just kinda feel like I've outgrown it. KWIM?

Anywho, I'm thinking I want to upgrade to Cs5 in the near future and as I was browsing Amazon I came across a hundred different versions! There's Cs5 Extended, Cs5 Premium, Cs5 Standard and something that apparently just released a week or two ago...Cs5.5!! I'm a bit confused. So my question to all of you Cs5 (or below) users...

WHICH ONE DO I NEED???

I just upgraded from CS2 to CS5 in January and I have no regrets. . I ordered cs5 extended with an educational discount using my 1st grader and it was $199. Yay! I have NO idea what the differences are, but what I have does everything I've asked of it so far!

Jordan, it took me ages to find this link...but here it is finally! One of my IRL friends just went through the same dilemma when she decided to become a PS user. It is definitely confusing!

Basically, unless you are planning to do 3D graphics or motion editing, all you need is CS Standard.

We went through the same thing when I went from DIP to CS5! Laura is totally right. I'm glad you answered...because I couldn't remember. LOL!

Oh, Laura, thank you so much! That's a lot of $$ to spend, so I wanted to make certain I was buying the right product!! Can't wait to get it...my Mother's Day gift to myself! LOL!
