For some reason it wont write the text anyone have any odeas why,It writes it but im not seeing anything and im gonna scream in a minute

huh? is this a trick question?
OK I've got to ask, it's not white text on white background is it? :giggle

maybe it's one of the settings in the character menu like the baseline shift or the leading, they're not some ridiculously large number are they?

If it's on a text path you need to have it as left formatted. BTDT...and got very annoyed.

The layer you are writing on isn't underneath something else? I've done that before...typed text underneath a piece of paper or photo.

If it's photoshop being wonky...which happens, I'd shut down and restart.

nope i tried all colours nope its on the top layer i tried a new layer even closed it and reopened gonna try again now

im really beginning to lose it now,i open a text box and the curser is above it and doesnt write arghhhh

shut everything down and let the stupid machine for a minute and restart again... maybe your computer feels like having holidays or something??? i have weird things like that a lot *sigh*

i sorted it was something to do with the baseline shift so kaye was right or maybe i gave it a good talking to and threatened it with a newer model either way thanks ladies

Photoshop, ok, I use PSE, is tricky sometimes. Once all tools were Hand Tool. I went crazy in two seconds and while it was being trick with me I was doing a LO. I tried everything, nothing worked. Then I needed to reinstall it. Done, all tools were back.
Happy you found the problem Karen and didn't follow my style of "if nothing works, reinstall".

yay so do I win anything for guessing right? :giggle

yeah you get the chance to design a expecting baby kit for me ha ha,thanks kaye for helping me sort that it was very close to being booted out the window

woohoo what a great prize! Hang on that means work for me! Hmmmm think I just got ripped :giggle

I can't say if this will help in this case, but you can usually “re-set”— or, pitch a fit!
