What advice would you give for someone doing their first creative team? Or their first guest spot?

Do you mean that you're wondering how to get on your first creative team? If that's the case, you can keep your eye on the forum here. There have been quite a few good ones lately. Also, if there is a designer that you really love, you can always contact them to see if they need anyone. If not, they can keep your name on a list for later when they do need help. Just give it a try. The worst they can say is no, but you'll never here a yes unless you try. :)

Well that, but I meant if you are on a team but it's your first time.

Oh! Well, I guess that's the easy part... just make sure you read through the forum/gallery rules and read some older forum posts to get a feel for things. Find a system to keep track of the products you're supposed to use and on what dates they should be posted. When in doubt, ask questions! :)

read the rules...and have honesty with the designer...if you love her things, you will love your pages. Organize yourself, so you know when to upload, how and where she needs you to post your lovely pages.
If you are in the middle of a page and think of something You would love to have, ask...if you need it, someone else may too, and she might add it, and that shows you are thinking.
Another good thing, is to quality check the items you use on your page, if you see things spelled wrong, or a huge jaggy edge...let the designer know...before it goes live!
I think most designers want pages from your heart, not a mass produced page, so enjoy the time.

Getting a system in place, being organized, is essential. You need to keep track of what you need to do, what you have done and get it posted in the right galleries by the right deadline. I agree that you want to get onto a team that you are proud to create for. It will show in your work and your enthusiasm for your position.

Being on a designer's team where you consistently love their products can almost feel "easy". It's a pleasure to work with it all. I agree, definitely look at the forums, most designers have rules/guidelines that they ask that you follow. You can always post a question in whatever chat or chatter sub-forum and one of the other CT members would be happy to help you. On a personal note, use the products to tell your story and showcase your photos. Your love for your subject matter will shine through!

I agree, stay organized!
And ask the ct or designer for every doubts...and if you know, for example, that you'll be unavailable for some days (vacation, or other) jst tell the designer. In this way she/he will be able to organize her work better :)

Promote them . . . genuinely. Share your pages on facebook . . . enabling is a bonus for most designers and not always a requirement, but I know they appreciate it TONS!
