Creative Cloud Bundle Announcement

I saw that! What do you think??? I signed up with student discount for the whole CC, but it jumps to $29.99 after a year. I like the idea of access to all the other programs but honestly may never, ever use them (haven't yet!).

I may go for the $9.99 a month for Lightroom and Photoshop. What about you?

That is definitely a much more reasonable price, but I still hate the cloud. I bought my current seat of PS CS5 4 years ago. I still am completely happy with it and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon. 4 years of cloud payments is $480. I only paid $200 for Photoshop and I just bought Lightroom for $79. (educational discount) CC is not a deal for me. I'm just afraid someday I'll upgrade my computer to a new operating system and my Photoshop won't work anymore and then I'll be forced to use the CC.

I realize that for people who upgrade often and want more of the products that Adobe offers, this is a good deal. But I really hate that they are removing my ability to buy just Photoshop and be left alone to scrap.

i didn't even realize the cloud existed. i'm an Elements user, and it doesn't seem to have trickled down to my awareness. Karen, if they do end up getting rid of the ability to purchase just PS, that would be a shame.

I'm pretty sure they already did get rid of the ability to buy PS. You have to use the CC now. Thankfully Elements has been untouched, and they've been making so many improvements to that that I'll probably switch to that once my PS doesn't work anymore.

I was excited for 5 seconds until I saw it didn't include Illustrator.

I'll be using CS5 until it doesn't work anymore and hopefully by then they will have other software available or some other thing has been worked out. I agree with Karen... I purchased with an education discount and just cannot justify the monthly recurring fee.

I'm already on the cloud, but I think it's still a great deal at that price. Although, you're right...if it had AI, I could downgrade.

I've got LR4 and PSCS5 so I'm happy to use that for awhile. I know I'll have to upgrade to the cloud eventually but I'll hold off as long as I can. These monthly payments seem to add up and then I wonder why I'm always broke LOL

ummm - i just got CC TWO DAYS AGO!! i bought a one year package for 9.99 that includes only photoshop, not lightroom :( i'm going to have to write a letter and see if i can switch to this ... arghh ...

so, this is the 1st time i've ever been super happy to NOT have the 'real PS'!! i have always worked in PSE, and i've never had any real need to do anything beyond its capabilities... especially with the advancements they've made with it in the latest versions. hopefully they leave it untouched. i am really not excited about the idea of the monthly payment.

dana, hopefully they won't give you any headache about switching! i would think they would want to be positive with their customer service....i hope!

I am still looking on line and in the stores for CS6 at a reasonable rate. I have CS3 and while I am happy with it, I would like the upgrade, but do not wish to do the cloud... I wish the box version would drop down in price since they are steering people to the cloud. I am old school just like I like a real book rather than a nook.. I like to have it in my hands :) $10 a month though is a good price... but still I want to OWN not rent.

christa - do you qualify for the educational price? i have CS6 in a box that i have never used - i bought it a while ago and never installed it - and then spilled wine on my computer and had to get a new one! i don't even have a CD drive on my new computer, so i just decided to go with CC ... but i'd love to sell my educational version to someone (you just have to send in the proof and then you can install it).

I hate this cloud stuff - just let me buy the one program I want! I have CS6, and am going to pray that it lasts on here forever! :)
