One of my two older sisters just told me today that she was tested for COVID19 yesterday. She went to the Dr. for refills, and had a cough so Dr. did Covid test and told her to quarantine until results. I was really surprised by this. She lives in Myrtle Beach and her daughter lives with her. My niece has AIDS,:nope so we are praying for a negative result. :pray

Prayers for your sister, Amanda, I do hope that SC puts the stay at home order in place.. that is one of the states no order has been put in yet. Prayers for negative result.

Prayers for both of them...SC has over 1,900 cases right now ...so quarantine sounds like the right thing for both of them. May they be well soonest!

THANKS.
We have the stay at home guideline. And nearly everything is closed. Monday all businesses but banks, pharmacies, grocery stores will be closed. There isn't much difference from stay at home vs. shelter in place. Police have authority to break up/arrest any gathering of3+people.

Hopefully the doctor was just being extra cautious and they will get a negative result soon! (((hugs)))

I didn't realize you too were in SC.. my brother has a 2nd house in Murrells Inlet.

My brother is in Myrtle Beach as well. He said they do have a stay in place order now. (I thought) keep us posted

@sharonb Yes, we had heard of this- it was on the news. The Mayor of a city cannot pronounce that order by law; only the state's governor can do so. The mayor can encourage, and should. But she actually overstepped her boundaries. It all can be disconcerting, I know. But I take great comfort in our laws being enforced and upheld in the manner they were intended. We need to maintain order, if not this could bring another level of chaos that nobody wants!
Still waiting on results for my sister's test.

praying for negative test results... Let us know when you hear.

Hoping for a negative test result!

This is very close to home for me. I am in NJ. I know multiple people and friends that are positive, and multiple friends and family who have had people pass away.
