Connected to the world - how?

Love reading everyone's stories!

I have lived in the same little northeastern Oregon town that I was born in almost my entire life. When I was younger, my parents moved us 5 miles away for a couple of years, then we moved right back to our hometown. After graduation, I moved to southeastern Washington (20 minutes away from my hometown) for a few months, then moved back and met my husband. We lived in his tiny hometown (5 miles away from mine) for a few months, then settled back in my town. We've been married for 14 years and this is where we've lived the whole time. Together, we've only traveled around Oregon, Washington state, Idaho and Utah. We have grand plans of one day traveling to Italy, Ireland, England, new Zealand and Australia but I'm fairly certain that won't happen for quite a few years yet. We want to move to the Newberg, Oregon area within the next 5-10 years though and with hubby's company beginning to extend their reach to that area, I think it just might happen!! When I was younger, I traveled to California, Texas, Arizona, new Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Mexico, Georgia, Kentucky, new Jersey and new York. A good chunk of that traveling was in high school with DECA. So much fun. I love to travel but it gets expensive!

I was born in Bethesda, Maryland but we were living in Virginia at the time. My father was in the Navy. When I was a baby we moved to Madrid, Spain for 3 years and then back to Virginia. When I was 6 we moved to Santiago, Chile for 6 years. Then we moved to South Carolina. When I was 24 I moved to Georgia and met my husband; we've been married 33 years. I'm hoping that in the next couple of years we will move to South Carolina because my daughter and her husband and my brother and his wife live there.

I would like to see more of the U.S and travel to Spain, France and England.

We haven't traveled much since being married. Just to Hilton Head, SC a few times. I love it there so much. I went a few times as a child and it just feels perfect and so home like for me. I do'nt know why. It's like my heart lives there. :)

We've been to Hilton Head several times but not in a long time. It is beautiful! I wouldn't mind living there. My husband would love it.
