:giggle I totally get that! I look forward to my hubby's fishing trips so I can have some me time too!
 
I'm watching silly reality shows & knitting. Still a couple of hours til I have to start preparing dinner. Really making the most of my first "me-time-day".
 
My husband worked night shift for years and, while I did love the bed all to myself and quiet late nights, I was thrilled when he got a daytime job again, especially since I was on summer break and could actually have the house to myself and be as loud or as quiet as I want all day!!
 
lol. My husband works from home so I almost never have the house to myself. His office space and hangout space is in the front section of the house, while mine is in the central part, but it’s open concept so we hear each other all the time. It’s been several years since he had a job where he had to go into an office so I’ve gotten used to it, but I do enjoy the peace and the change of pace/environment when he travels (usually just a few weeks per year).
 
I get that! I just love being able to relax by myself with no one around! It's like there is no expectation and that relaxes me. Hoping your second day was wonderful!
 
Schedules & rhythms & routines always get out of wack the more days my DH is off work, lol!
 
I feel you! I think most of us enjoy some alone time.

Yes, this! I can just turn up the volume of the music I want to hear, eat whatever I like to eat, do something now... or do it later... or not at all.

I laughed out loud on this. This week, the oldest is back in college. Husband is out of the house and youngest is in school. It has been a little bit easier to focus during the day. I do not understand why I am the one who has to remember where everything is placed. Even if I didn't place it.
