Do you like yours? Or hate it?
What is it? We need to buy another monitor soon, so I'm looking for suggestions. Preferably in the low-mid range: I'm not looking for a 4K or anything super fancy.
Oh, and windows Desktop. That's probably important...:giggle

My computer and monitor are the same thing. :D I've got a 2011 iMac. I love having it all in one. Less clutter on my desk.
Sorry I'm not much help. Good luck in your search!

Sorry Courtney. Another iMac user who's waiting hopefully for a September announcement so I can replace my 2011 model. Old eyes need all of those 27 inches.

I have a 21.5" HP monitor and I like it. But I don't use it every day, so perhaps I'm not the person you should listen to. :) Is your TV a Smart TV? I know I can tie my laptop to my TV, but I never have. Wouldn't it be cool to scrap on a 65-inch "monitor"??? :drool

I have 2 23" ViewSonic monitors. Got them at different times but have had no problems with either of them. And, I've pretty much gotten my money out of them so if something does happen, I'll just buy new. The newest one replaced a very old Dell that was getting touchy but still worked. I think it was at least 8 years old when I replaced it 4 or 5 years ago.

Edit to add after reading Anne's post. The color was different between the Dell and ViewSonic so that's why I went with another ViewSonic when I replaced the Dell. I also will never go with only 1 monitor again!

I have an Asus MX279 as my primary, which I really like. (Secondary is an old HP that is functional but not pretty.) I like the size and resolution. (Anything higher resolution is just wasted on my terrible eyes - makes things too small to read.) It's non-glare (a must with all the windows in our house) but still has a clear picture and vibrant color. I saw it on display at an electronics store and preferred it immensely over the others I was considering. So helpful to see them side by side. It also has really good sound from the built in speakers, quite helpful since I don't have any other speakers. :)

This is actually my second one of this exact same monitor, which I've had for about a year. The previous one lasted about 4½ years before it started randomly shutting off on me and I'd have to reboot to get it to come back on. DH actually used it that way with his computer for a month or so before it died completely and liked it well enough that he bought himself a new one as well.

I have a 24" AOC Monitor that we got at WalMart for around $120. It's not the best, but better than the other one I had which was really a small tv I was using for a monitor.

I have a 27" Acer monitor that I hook up to my laptop. I love digiscrapping on a large second monitor. I tend to watch Netflix on the laptop screen while I work on the Acer.

I have two big monitors because I have two different computers in the house. My FAVORITE is my 27" Dell ultrasharp. SO crisp and clear and I love the adjustable stand (when I use it) and I love that it has two USB ports in the side. I don't love that it's over $400. I say I love the stand when I use it because I actually have that one mounted on a swing arm to the wall so I could free up some space on my desk. :)

The other one I have and is also very crisp and clear is an AOC 27". If you go big, make sure you get the higher resolution (2560x1440) or you'll regret it. That's not 4k which is overkill for a computer I think. The only thing I had to do for my AOC was set it up on a lift (that I built out of a couple boards, but you can buy one too) so that it was straight in front of my eye level, otherwise the colors weren't quite right because I was looking down on it a bit at my desk.

The HP actually has truer color.
Good to know!

I also will never go with only 1 monitor again!
Me either. That's why I'm looking now! I currently have 2, and when DH gets the new desktop, my plan is to foist off the one I don't like on him....and get a new one for me!

better than the other one I had which was really a small tv I was using for a monitor.
That's one of my monitors right now. It works, but yellows always look funny, I assume because of the tv thing.

I have two computers, my main one and my backup. I used to teach online so I couldn't trust my work to just one. I have two monitors, one for each computer but they are both NEC monitors. I have found the color displayed in this monitor brand to be very true. When I print, my printouts are almost exactly matched to what I see on the screen so I've been very happy staying with this brand. :)

I have this monitor, Asus ROG Swift PG279Q. It's not 4K, more like 2K. The quality of the images as far as color and sharpness is amazing. I am also a gamer, so I chose this one for the refresh rate and it has G-sync, which goes along with my NVIDIA graphics card. 4K would definitely be overkill since most things are not in 4K. I read up so much on monitors before I made the decision. My husband ended up getting the same one. I also went to this site to download the color profile for my monitor, which makes sure the colors are displayed more accurately. I have a Spyder calibrator, but the colors seemed off when I used it for this monitor.

Whenever I am shopping for something, I want to keep a long time. So, make a list of what features are important to you and decide how much you're willing to spend. Reddit has a forum for monitors that was also helpful.

I have an LG Flatiron W2353VP which isn't even available anymore. It has been wonderful and is still going great. I'd buy another.
