Computer gurus...I call upon your IQ

Last week in a sudafed stupor, I typed out 4 weeks of challenge (they are still in my head), but when I opened my word document it is in squares and what looks like japanese characters?
any hope for my document?

are you on mac or pc?

When you do File - Open. Switch the doc style to "recover text from any file" On Mac it says, "Enable"

Not sure what it says on PC but you should still have the same drop down menu with the "recover text from any file" option. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I can't find that...I am on PC, but I think it may be my word doc program Kinsoft? I have a help ticket to them, and I am okay, cause my brain has it in there, and the hardest part the actual pages for the challenge are done and saved elsewhere. so it is all good!

Hmmm... I'm not familiar with that program. Did the font get switched somehow? Can you open the file in a basic text editor like Notepad?

I know when I open a document that is docx (I think) in an older version of Word it does the same as your saying with special characters!!
