Ever do a layout that left you completely D-R-A-I-N-E-D? I just finished up a CT layout and I'm just so emotionally spent on it. I've been working hard to put more of me in my layouts and for the part its been positive but this one just drained me emotionally. It seem so silly, but until just now I never really considered myself an "artist" just more of a hobbyist. Its not even an artsy layout - I totally went the traditional route. Can anyone relate?

So sorry, you were left feeling that way. The one i just did for M3, came out like i off the deep end, when I just mad at my hard drive.
 
Totally relate -- sometimes even non-emotional ones (I think) can stir up something in me. It's a good sign that some work was done in your mind as well as on "screen" whatever you call a digital layout. Do something fun -- use a template and don't make yourself work so hard on it. Sometimes that helps revive me. You are definitely not alone.
 
Exactly! I think a big part of it was the topic of the page was a trigger point in the first place and then to do it in such a way that it "worked"... the whole thing was just tiresome. The end result was awesome and it was definitely time well spent - but yes! Next one for sure I'm using a template.
 
Danielle, I totally understand but that means there is no doubt that you put yourself out there 100%!!!!! So proud of you for doing it!
 
Yes... remembering memories is hard work... and the art to creating the layouts, too!
