Commutes | Pad Patter 12/20

I'm lucky that I work at home. For almost 25 years I've had an office at home so I don't have to drive anywhere. I used to have a courier come every day but for years now I send work files thru email.

Oops, I was guilty of this with my two older grandkids, but we moved quickly ... jumped out, I handed the kid their backpack as we passed each other ... plus our kiss and ride lane was wide enough to let cars pass each other, and the line wasn’t particularly long to drop off ... getting out of the school’s parking was another story. What a nightmare!

It's the moving slowly more than the student driver part of it. It's like they have molasses in their veins. LOL I'm like "get a move on" or "walk with a purpose." Daniel is always shaking his head at me. LOL

Do you commute to work or to school? Is it a long one?
I work 2 days a week at a dental office. My commute is less than 10 miles, about 15 minutes in the morning, 20 in the evening (more traffic out then.)
I also work from home doing dental insurance verifications remotely. My commute is to my home office- a few steps from the kitchen. ;)

What’s the worst or best thing about your commute?
On my in office days- I call & talk to my mom on the way home. If I don't get ahold of her- it just seems strange to drive & not talk to her!
Best part of my home days- having my pups snore next to me on their doggy beds!

Do you do anything during your commute to make the time go by?
Talking to my mom on my in office days, when home- I'm usually drinking a cup of coffee! ;)

My commute takes about 2 seconds ;-). One bedroom apartment and desk is in the kitchen/living area. If I need to go down to Parliament, as I do sometimes to take photos, it's a 35min walk or a very short bus ride.

My worst commute was in Sydney, Australia. I would walk Daughter-One to childcare, then catch a bus into the city centre, then walk to the quay and jump on a ferry to Manly. It was VERY scenic though.

Second worst was in London, with a unreliable train service from Hertfordshire into the city. Definitely not as scenic ;-)
