Come join us in the chat for a Color Challenge Slow Scrap. We are live and ready for thirty minutes of fun!

The bad news is iNSD is almost over, but the great news is we still have today and part of tomorrow to shop, scrap, and socialize! Since the party isn’t over quite yet, welcome to the Color Palette with a Twist Slow Scrap here at The Lilypad!

Today we are going to scrap a layout based on this color palette:

All you have to do is scrap a minimum of 3 of the five colors, BUT the twist is you can’t ADD any other colors than what’s on this palette. So simply pick 3-5 colors and have fun. Your photos can have any colors in them, but all the papers, elements, word art, and even journaling need to match the palette. You don't even have to have photos if you don't want! Easy peasy because we are all running out of time trying to finish the fun challenges and games here at The Lilypad.

Here’s my layout using Rachel Jefferies's July 2020 BYOC Money Saving Bundle.

This collection had the perfect color palette and was fun to use with all its bits and pieces.

Now that you’ve seen mine, what does your layout look like?

Oh, and don’t forget, this is a slow scrap so this challenge closes at 11 am EDT on Tuesday, May 7, 2022. Your page should be new and made exclusively for this challenge. It should not be submitted for any other challenge/game. All who complete a page, should post the page in the gallery here at TLP, which means it needs to comply with gallery rules. Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed. Please post the gallery link or linked image in the thread for this scrap.

I hope you have some fun with this slow challenge and I can’t wait to see what you’ve created! Don't forget too that all participants will win a $2 coupon - how cool is that!!

I had hoped to be in the chat but ended up having supper instead. Hope to get a layout made.

Thanks for the chat y'all and I hope you find time to play along with this challenge!

Once again thank you so much for hosting Robin, and to all for the chat. I'm still scrapping my winter pages, and the color palette worked out great for me, thanks. Here's my take, full credits in gallery. Nice day!

I finally figured out that if I eliminated the red that I liked the other colors in the color swatch. Although challenging, I did have fun with this -- even though it took a bit of experimenting. Thanks for the challenge.

Thank you, that was fun! Although I was glad we didn't have to use all the colours, not a fan of blue and red together. ;)

@mocamom Now that I've read this post and have been going back and forth to the gallery and store, I'm even more frustrated that I was unable to attend the chat earlier. You've given us a very specific color palette. It seems as if most of those who have posted layouts have found supplies that are close to that palette. Were those papers & elements used as they were sold or recolored in some way? None of the supplies I've seen used appear to have the absence of color variation & texture that happens when I "recolor" objects. What trick or process I'm missing?

Another trip down a rabbit hole....why am I attracted to challenges about what I know so little....

I am working in Affinity 2 on my iPad so I am next going to Angela's post asking for tutorial suggestions and add to that post also. Thanks for any help you can offer.
