It's Opening Day for College Football :woot

So here's a spot to show off your team... whether they are winning or losing... show us your Team Spirit.

I'll start... GO FLORIDA GATORS!

I have never really cared for football, and universities don't have sports teams here. But I have an anecdote to share inspired by the first post.
When my kids and I open a bag of M&Ms, everyone picks 2 colors and we separate them out. I'm not sure how this tradition started, but oh well. :giggle We do this often enough, that each set of 2 colors has a name, so instead of someone saying "I want yellow and brown" they can say "I want bee colors." The kids didn't know what we should name blue and orange, so I suggested "Gator colors." What can I say, I was born and raised in Florida. I tried unsuccessfully to explain why blue and orange would mean Gator. They don't get it. :giggle But still sometimes someone will say, "I want alligator colors!"

Blue and orange were my (second) high school colors.... Westwood warriors. :)
 
I am a complete Alabama fan. Even more so now that our son goes there! Engineers ROCK!!! :woot

I really enjoyed the opening day! Watched a little of all the games at a small sports bar downtown with friends. That is some of the appeal...food, games, friends, rivalry, smack talk. Good clean fun, hahaha!
 

Back when I attended, we won 2 or 3 games my entire college years, now they actually have a real team!
 
Alas, I'm a Boilermaker, but they have not been really good since Drew went there.

Claim to fame: I went to Purdue at the same time Drew Brees did, and yes, he was just as gorgeous then as he is now. :beat

I also am required by law to root for Notre Dame since that's where I grew up and where my dad works. :giggle
