Anyone collect anything (besides scrap kits :giggle)?

I (used to) collect cookbooks. I say used to because I just can't bring myself to buy them now that I have the internet and every recipe I could ever want, WITH ratings. And I probably won't even live long enough to try all the ones I've printed/bookmarked/pinned anyway. I still have my hundreds of cookbooks, though, and I still love them. I 'read' them sometimes. I will lay in bed and just page through looking at all the recipes and imagining what they'd taste like.

I swear that's not as weird as it sounds. :whistle
 
I used to say books but since getting my ereader, I'm so much better now..lol!! Other than that.. nope! Just digi kits..lol!
 
I always collected Precious Moments figurines, dolls, anything! hoping to pass all that down to Stella and start buying her more.

I also collect purses. I love them and buy all sorts of 'em!

Our movie collection is getting big too actually if that counts!

I collect postcards (pm me if you want to exchange postcards!!!) as well as vinyl records and Beatles memorabilia. I also have a large collection of turtle figurines. I was really into turtles in high school so everyone kept buying me turtles for years. I still like them, I just don't want any more!
 
I used to collect decorative dessert plates, but recently donated them all as I'm trying to simplify my life... I used to buy a new set every time I entertained... Obviously that was pre-kids lol
 
i collect:

magnets.
records ... like vinyl.
mugs (with an emphasis on starbucks mugs)
and mint green portable typewriters (if i didn't keep it specific, i would buy them all!)
 
i collect Blythe dolls as well as vintage vinyl/rubber/plastic dolls from the 50's-70's.

my boyfriend collects vinyl records and he's slowly getting me into that as well
 
Only scrap kits for me, lol. And I guess you could maybe say I collect homeschool materials pretty obsessively, but those go to good use. I used to collect precious moments in high school, but when I actually had bills I quit that pretty quick. I collected cookbooks, but same as you I just can't justify it often anymore because they are all online.
 
I guess I collect decorative plates and clear glass/crystal vases for both my china hutches.


I'm guessing some people would consider I collect shoes and purses based on the number I own. I'm trying to be better about these two, the whole bring something in, something must go idea.
 
Some would probably say I collect running shoes. :giggle

But some (he) would be wrong. I just like being well prepared!
 
When I lived in Sicily (years ago), I collected Capodimonte flowers from Italy and Bosson Heads from England. I just looked at Ebay and some of the heads are going between $20 - $100 each. OMG! I only paid $5.95 each back in 1989. Unless you count my shoe fetish...that's about all I collect these days.

I want blythe dolls!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE them! I just don't have a place to store them or have them out or I would be collecting these right now too!
 
I collect any and ALL Disney movies, and older family movies,
like " the Gnome-mobile", etc for my kids one day to have.

Myself, I personally collect and OBSESS over white porcelain pieces,
(from dishes, to serving pieces, to vases, pitchers, containers).
I decorate with it throughout pretty mush every holiday as well.

you are probably better off crystal! blythe doll collecting is a dangerous, slippery, slope! lol! you start out thinking "oh i'll just get one" but they have a way of getting under your skin and next thing you know you've got thousands of dollars worth of plastic sitting on a shelf!!!

not that i would know anything about that . .. *cough* :whistle
 
They are so stabbity!! Aren't you nervous with a shelf full of them watching your every move?!

lol, nope! i guess i have a high creep factor tolerance when it comes to big eyed dolls cuz i think they are just the cutest :D
