Clowns. Ugh.

So, Halloween night, we were out trick or treating. There was this group of boys that were dressed as clowns, complete with airhorns. I don't care for clowns. I really don't care for clowns that are obnoxious early teens (12-14) blowing an airhorn at everyone! Or chasing down the little kids (2-4) and trying to scare them.

And then there are the creepy adult clowns. Sigh. I'm just not a fan!

What about you? Do you like clowns? Have you had one at a birthday party?

I don't hate clowns, but I hate noise. If some little punk came at me with an air horn, I probably would have ripped it out of his (or her) hands. OK, probably not unless they were INMYFACE, but if they were trick or treating at my house I would have given them only one fun-size candy bar instead of the usual 3 or 4.

In our neighborhood, I didn't see a single clown--not a scray, obnoxious, or cute one in the bunch!

Clowns didn't bother me until I watched Supernatural.

I'm with Anne!! And I was stupid enough to suggest to my husband that he dress up as a clown! What was I thinking?!!?

But to be honest...I don't do well with any kind of mask period. I need to see the persons face, or I go into panic mode. I remember when I was in Jr. High, it was Christmas time and my mom, dad, and grandma were at PV Mall in the food court; well someone dressed up as Rudolph thought it would super fun to come up to our table, my parents warned him not to get close to me, well he/she didn't listen to them and got REALLY close to me, I told them to back up, they didn't listen so I shoved them away from me *hard* and took off!

Clowns don't bother me so much, but intentionally chasing little ones is not cool. The air horn would totally annoy me. We saw a few clowns on Halloween night, but nothing overly scary. The best one was a kid dressed as Pennywise and looked so great. He or she had the creepy bit down...it never said a word, would just give you a creepy stare.

They got in trouble with security.
Then we walked by them after they were bugging us. They were standing with their mom. And I very loudly said " it's ok buddy. If they don't stop, we'll tell security and get them in trouble again". So, we didn't see them for about 30 min.
Then, my friend told them if they blew it near her or her kids again she would shove the horn up their ......

They came by and did it. So my 6 foot tall husband started following right behind them. They got really nervous and hurried back to their mom. All he did was walk pretty close behind them.

I think clowns are weird and not funny but they don't freak me out. With that said, I don't watch any scary movies, with or without clowns, so the only reason I know anything about this Pennywise clown is from all the Halloween costumes & gags on late night TV shows (like SNL).

Your punk clowns @bestcee ...standing with their Mom. Who did nothing??? Says a lot right there.

My son and dil got a clown for granddaughter's 4th birthday. There wasn't a lot of smiling amongst the little ones. Bad idea.

ha ha.. only clowns I liked were Bozo and Clarabell
(Clarabell was played by Bob Keeshan aka Captain Kangaroo and lived the next town over from me. I was a senior in HS taking Drivers Ed .. I almost ran up on the curb when I thought he was outside cutting his hedges! LOL)
All other clowns NOPE!

I am well known for my fear of clowns - friends often tag me anytime a clown is mentioned... I have never liked anyone who covers his/her face - masks, beards etc. Santa was also a terror when I was young... I'm much better now!

I made this page last year, before the new Pennywise came out - and no, never going to see IT!
