Welcome to the NBK-Design Advanced Challenge for December.
Your challenge this month is to sharpen a photo in Photoshop with the High Pass filter. I found this helpful tutorial.

Here is a page I made as an example. You can see the before and after of my photo.

More inspiration by the NBK creative team will be posted in this thread in the next days.

Instructions:
- Follow the technique in the tutorial and sharpen a photo (or photos); then use that photo on your page. Please post the before and after of the photo editing, so we can see the difference.
- Extra tip: you can use this technique for sharpening your pages as well!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask and tag me @cinderella.

RULES
- This challenge runs from December 1st to December 31st
- TWO lucky scrappers will be randomly chosen to win a $5 coupon to the NBK Design store.
- You must use 100% NBK Design Products.
- Post your layout in the NBK Design Gallery and in this forum, and link your layout to the gallery.

here's is mine. I changed the radius to 3.1, my blend mode is linear light at 77% and I used Wanderlust.

Thanks for the tutorial. I use High Pass for sharpening almost exclusively. Here is one I created for Nicole's artCRUSH 34 release:

Thanks for the tutorial and the challenge, Cindy. I saw this awesome picture of three wild horses in a store recently and I must have it! This is the image, straight off my phone - just so that I could remember which picture I wanted.

I used this picture and did the High Pass Technique, plus some other "tweaking" and here is my layout with the picture that I used the technique on.

Thanks for the challenge and tutorial, Cindy. I always use the High Pass Technique to sharpen my pages. For photo sharpening I usually use Lightroom and I really had difficulties to find a photo to use for this challenge. For me, it is now a little bit oversharpened.

Thank you so much for this challenge, I have used high pass before, but not for a while, and I had forgotten the difference it can make to a photo.
My before and after is on the scrap page, but a thumbnail of before is under the page too.
