Ok, I really really tried to keep this from being so busy ... I actually redid the whole layout and ended up with almost exactly what I had created the first time, LOL. I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to represent everything that brings me JOY, and then I remember how absolutely excited I was to be able to watch the parade halfway around the world and actually crying tears of joy when we were able to get it to stream! Thanks so much for the envelope template ... it will definitely be something that I will use again
Christmas was VERY different for me this year.... I flew to Escalante , Utah and spent it with Chris, Justine, and the boys, along with Justine’s Utah family. Escalante is in S. Utah, about halfway across the state, not far from Bryce Canyon, Zion and many other famous places in that part of the world... Beautiful desert country with tons of history... I was there once before... in 2006 when Rowan was a newborn.
It is quite remote and its main business is summertime tourism... so the vacation rentals sit empty during the cold winter months. I loved the little house I stayed in 18 years ago and, the one they found this time, was beyond adorable, owned by friends of Justine's, parents. Getting to Escalante was an experience!.. After driving 3 hours to Julia’s I had to get up at 3 AM so she could have me to the Sacramento Airport by 5 AM. For reasons that escape me??? I had to fly to San Diego, about a 1 1/2 hour flight., where I barely made my connecting flight to Las Vegas., another 1 1/2 hours.. Thus, it was no surprise that my luggage did not arrive with me! After analyzing my options. I was sceduled for a Shuttle Van to St. George 2 hours later. Thankfully the Shuttle Van company was able to rescedule me. so I decided to wait for it to arrive on the next flight. So this made it a 4 hour wait... FUN!!!! next was the 3 hour drive to St. George, where Chris was meeting me. We then had a 3 1/2 hour drive to Escalante after stocking up on groceries, and havign a bite to eat. ... it was 1 am by the time we arrived. at out destination... It was a VERY long day... FYI I decided to do the Airport assist option for the first time ever... It was a life saver... Never woudl hae made that connection without it.
@SeattleSheri thank you so much for the wonderful envelope template, it has been used so effectively in many different ways on the pages for this challenge.
