I would go for recent photos so not longer ago than 1 year. I want to be inclusive but not prescriptive. So 5 senses from a recent trip could be fun as could right now, including the dog next door or currently this stage of life.

After taking so long to get this done, I'm worried my grid will be judged too sloppy. You didn't say it has to be straight and even, so it's ok, right? The stitching is a wavy grid, and the start of my design.
