One of my biggest struggles with scrapbooking (digital or paper) is journaling. Does anyone have any suggestions for a class to help with journaling?

a few tips:
- write a letter
- use intervieuw style? -why, -when, -where, -who and so on
- use quotes, songs, poems
- keep a little note book and write down the information while taking photo's
- leave open space for journal and do it some other time
- make lists

Does it involve photoshop and extractions?
extractions with pages of journaling..tee hee...and puppet warp then I am gonna toss in a few perspective frame changes too...lol
seriously, journaling is my favorite part of life, and I think even putting date and title can be really tough on many..I blame bad English teachers...lol
journaling can be fun...I believe it! I do.

Yes it can I am doing more of it. But I had to poke fun at your reputation for being challenging. Looking forward to see what you are coming up with.

Ali Edwards has a storytelling with project life class. Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but she has a great focus and perspective on stories.

I too love Ali's classes and even just reading her blog could help!

I know people are scared of journaling, or don't know how to go about it, but you can totally do it! There are a few different hurdles to get over but once you do, you're set!! You just have to mainly decide what point of view you want to speak through. Becky Higgin's recommended on her site to just imagine you are looking at your page with a friend and telling them about what was happening. Just write that down and that's it!

When I am doing my pages, I tend to write like I am speaking to the subjects. It is just what came the most naturally to me when I first started scrapbooking and it's been hard to switch from that. In an English class once, we were told to write an essay about our Summer. Then we were told to count how many times we started a sentence with "I". The teacher recommended doing that way less, so I started writing and saying "You...".

You could also write letters..."Dear future me..." "Dear future daughter in law..." "Dear Grandma..." and that can take you so many places.

It really does get easier the more you do it!! I promise!!!
