It's December 3! That means Christmas eve is officially 3 weeks from today! I have about half my shopping done and none of the wrapping! Plus, I need to figure out what I'm doing for co-workers this year. I'm not in panic mode yet, but I will be before too much longer if I don't get things figured out and done! I have a couple of people that I get stuck on every single year, and a few things that I wait until last minute to pull the trigger on because I know they will get marked down again haha.

How about you? Are you finished shopping? Wrapping?

We don't have a ton of gifts to buy - we have a few things purchased for the grandkiddos (not sure what to get them since they have TONS of toys, but what is Christmas without toys for little ones?!) We did buy them a 55" inch TV for their play room that was delivered yesterday. Will be buying some gift cards for our son and DIL since they never seem to be able to tell us what they'd like or need :-)

I'm done shopping but I haven't started wrapping.

DD's gift wasn't going to go on sale (tickets to a show) so I bought them asap and DS's "big" gift (a bike) was on sale Cyber Monday, so that worked out. I told DH he wasn't getting anything from me this year, but yesterday we went to a little market and one of the vendors had hand-dyed yarn; I let him pick 2 (expensive, imo) skeins and said "That's your Christmas gift" lol! This year was easy for me.

Amazon prime this week. Dollar store for boxes for baked goods. Going very small this year. Main thing to do. Lists!

I have no gifts to buy although I will get a gift card to Applebee's for the lady that was with my dad the last 19 years of his life. As my father got older it was harder to buy for him especially since he lived out of state. So I started just giving them gift cards which were easier to mail and I knew they would use them. Last year I sent her a gift card for all her help with settling his estate around Christmas time so I think I will just continue with it as well. I was actually shocked last year that she sent me a check like she had always done in the past even though Dad was no longer around. When I told her she didn't need to do it anymore, she said she wanted to. I guess since I would have been her daughter if they had gotten married, she considers me family. She had no children of her own... only a step-son that she raised from her previous marriage.

So Christmas shopping is not stressful for me :giggle

Pretty much I just give my three children gifts and I'm almost done buying. Hopefully I'll finish up very soon, then I can start wrapping. I can't wrap until I have finished purchasing. It just feels better to see everything laid out, one stack per child, and wrap all at once, each with their own pattern of paper. At least I can wrap early now. When they were younger and I wasn't sure they would be able to refrain from tearing presents open early, I'd wrap on Christmas Eve at like 1 a.m. Yawn!

Happy shopping and wrapping everyone!

I have not bought a single present (per usual). I usually spend one afternoon going to a handful of places and get it completely done then.

I don't put any gifts under the tree before Christmas Eve because it drives me crazy when they get touched, shaken, asked abt, etc. We go to my mom's church with my family, have dinner & snacks, come home and put the kids to bed, wrap the presents, and then I go to the 11 pm service at my church. I'm still 10 on the inside because I still have a hard time sleeping through the night on Christmas Eve so this way I'm so tired I pass out in bed and don't wake up until the kids come get us.

I am not even half done. Hubby hasn't shopped yet this year. He is of the wander around the store until you find something interesting and then figure out who to give it to type of shopper. Me, I am the list maker, get in the store, buy it, and leave. The hard part is coming up with ideas for people you only see once or twice a year.

We buy gifts for our kids and each other. We also buy for his sisters and their families. We buy gifts for my brother and his family because we usually see them at Christmas. My sisters and families live far away so we don't exchange gifts. We also buy gifts for our close friends. So about 20 people other than our immediate family.

Every year I considering asking for a goat given to someone in Africa (or something similar). It is so hard to come with ideas for myself sometimes. I have about 3 things on my wish list. Does anyone else do the charity instead type gift?

I've picked up a few items and that sloth wrapping paper from Target because it was just too cute NOT to get LOL!
Timmi I got that sloth wrapping paper, too. My daughter basically refused to leave without it lol. We checked four Targets before Thanksgiving but never found the elusive shark wrapping paper.

@BevG I have never done the charity thing as a gift, but it is a great idea! I did do the thing where you pay to have a star named after someone. I did that for my dad one year, because he was the hardest person on the planet to shop for!

I can't find the shark wrapping paper either!! Each store must have received ONE roll LOL
The sloth paper is so dang cute though!! I normally do kraft paper or white kraft paper and use pretty ribbons and bows...but I'm thinking I'll just give each girl a different color ribbon and bow so they know what belongs to who.

I am no where near done shopping and haven't started wrapping either. I can't seem to get my boys or my nephews to tell me what they want... because they really don't want anything and I hate to just give cash. I might out and buy them something really silly or off the wall so that they'll be sure to tell me what they actually want next year. :giggle

I got 2/3 of the gifts for family on Black Friday and will pop out to the mall a few times to get a few more things. I still don't know what else to get my hubs (got him a few small things so far) so not sure what to get so that will be the hardest thing to figure out.

Basically done- just a few odds & ends- but haven't wrapped a single thing! ;) It's on my to-do list this week!

My homeschool group raised money for a charity like that many years ago, involving providing animals to families in Africa. I think it would be a fabulous request for a gift. Just share the link with your family/friends and say that's your wish. I think I've even seen some charities will provide a gift card that says, "$XX was donated in your name."
