I gonna need help, to get thru this month

anyone else?

Mine isn't so much depression this year as just unhappy stuff. But you know I know Christmas depression and I'm here for you and so are a lot of other people. But don't set yourself up for it. Look for one good thing each day and either scrap it or keep a list. Or I'll look and see if I can find some prompts. What would help you?

ty, i thought about dyd, is this to simple, no idea what layout size etc, but maybe it help me get into some spirit

What about if you change up your DYD so it gets you to use your supplies?
Day 1...Use Vintage art, and tell us something from your past.
Day 2...Use a Bow.... remember a bow from a gift or holiday wreath that you liked.
Day 3...Use Buttons... Reminisce about a dress or snuggly warm sweater you wear and love in Winter.
Etc....

I could come up with more, if you'd like. We could make it a combo AAM and DYD book!

Hugs!

i do like vintage, maybe my childhood, for past of me decorating and all, which i can't do kinda being blocked out

it's super cute Cath! and i like Jenn @jk703 's idea too (especially if you get stuck on content for a page).

i'm like @Lena Gardner ... feb/march are the months that drag for me. i'm not a winter person either.

Cath, have you ever tried Zentangle? I've been doing it for about 6 weeks now and I'm loving it so much. It's very calming and stress relieving. There are lots of ideas for it online. Take a look at it and see if it's something you would enjoy doing. All you need is a pencil or pen and a piece of paper unless you want to get the more official tools.

I'm sorry you're feeling so sad. Holidays are always stressful.

I dislike winter in general. I don't like that it gets dark so early. I don't like snow. My husband coaches the local high school swim and dive team, so he's gone all day. We used to go to Florida for 2 weeks at Christmas, but since his mom died, we've stayed home.

The good thing about all that is that I can scrap all day and all night in the winter. Yay!

home, no pics, uptown hasn't put up anything yet. tried for some knicknacks in office, , think i got pic of wall infront or floor.

I just started weekly d vitamin, i was 11, when level of 20 was low.

It came be a tough time for sure. Hope the Vit D helps and that the therapist visit went well xxxx

@Cath_ - I too get kinda down in the winter and have to take vitamin D3 and curcumin (helps with inflammation/pain and can help with depression too). I've been thinking of getting a sun lamp/lightbulb, but haven't decided if it'll work enough to make it worth the price. The holidays are always stressful, so don't be too hard on yourself. Do things you enjoy and let go of the rest.

I hope things went well at the therapist today and I agree that you should get out as much as possible. Even if it's just sitting on the porch for 10 minutes getting a little sunlight. I also think your DYD idea would be great. It'll give you a something to look forward too each day. And like @jk703 Jenn said changing it up a bit to use all your different supplies will keep it interesting. BIG HUGS! We're here for you.

One thing that helped last year and is really helping me this year is listening to Christmas music. There's a Traditional Christmas playlist on Spotify that I love . . . it always makes me more peppy and happy after listening to it.

I love @jk703 's suggestions to incorporate certain products for scrapping, just to get you jumpstarted.

((HUGS)) and know we are all here.
