Kiddo is now going to our local parks & rec program. It's at the same park/field where they had their baseball games. It doesn't have a pool or beach or anything. Just the standard, small playground, basketball court, and baseball field type thing.

He told me today that a random girl (who was a driver- so much older than the kids participating who are ages 6-12ish- but he couldn't tell if she was a teenager or an adult), walked into the middle of the front baseball field, stripped down to a tiny bikini and laid down in the sun.

Some little kids (whom ce says were in kindy) then stood there oogling her, saying she was hot and making inappropriate comments about her butt and bbs, took their shirts off and tried to get her attention, running up to her and making more comments etc. So he ran away because he was disturbed by how rude they were being (my kid is awesome :giggle ).

wha? when I was 6, I certainly wasn't concerned about boys, or people being hot, or any of the other things ce told me happened. :/ what happened to little kids being little kids.. and what the heck possessed this chick to sun bathe in the middle of a baseball field :p

OR what the heck possessed her to sun bathe in the middle of a baseball field surrounded by kids in kindergarten???

Makes ya proud of your own kid though, doesn't it! Awesome job, MOM!

What a creepy girl! Good boy you've got - good job mama!

What creepy behavior from *kindergarteners* and young kids. She shouldn't have done that (I hope someone lodges a complaint) but that's way oversexualized behavior from a bunch of kids that little.

EEK!!! That would disturb me too... and Ce is AWESOME, I :wub him... I'm so proud of him La, you're raising a good man :)

i wrote grades 6-12 when i meant ages 6-12.. dur. sleepy today. I'm glad I'm not totally being bonkers by thinking this behavior was just icky.

La, you've got a great kid! Kudos to your son for being responsible and knowing when to walk away. And kudos to you for being an awesome mom and instilling these values in him.

I know it - kids are so weird, gross, and inappropriate now. I hated boys as a little kid, thought they were gross lol. I assume most boys were the same way towards girls for the most part. But now we go to the pool and I hear little boys making comments about the "hot" teen girls and vice versa. Seriously, this one little boy just the other day was sitting with his friends near us during pool break, must have been 9 or 10, and said check out that chick's knockers! Seriously. Then of course my child who is also nine said "mom, what are knockers?" Gah I hate it. Seriously who in the world strips to a teensy bikini and lays out in the middle of a baseball field though? Seems like she must have been looking for attention from those little boys, LOL.

Oy vey, that IS disturbing. Good on Ce for just knowing it was weird and not taking part!

Kelley, I am just sitting here laughing out loud at the thought of you having to answer your son about knockers! It's been a long time since mine was 9 but I can recall some doozies!

Oy! That is just so weird all around! Makes me want to keep my boys in a bubble and not let them out in the world!

I agree...every bit of it seems a tad bit weird to me...what the girl did and the kids' reactions. so strange. I was definitely not interested at all in boys until i was 12 or so..and then it was just gossiping with my friends about who we thought was cute (notice I said cute not hot). Anything more wasn't even something that entered my thoughts until I was 15 or 16..and I still didn't dream of doing anything about it.

Eeesh. My almost nine year old also knows entirely way more than she should too. But then again, it's all everywhere around them. How can they not take notice? Kids emulate what they see unfortunately :/ Good for your little man though! He's got some good common sense!

Ah....you've got a super kid! And what the *&$^$ is a girl sunbathing on a baseball field?!?!? Sounds like someone asking for alot of attention and may get more than she bargained for if she keeps that up.

um yeah what is that girl thinking and b) dude that is really young for boys to look at girls in that way.
I remember being little and boys though girls had cooties where did those days go?!

What the??? Kudos to your kid for not participating in that garbage! I can't believe how little kids act these days......my kids won't be acting like that if I have anything to say about it.
