**UPDATED INFO**
Sunday, April 7th... Aster Hall in the 900 North Michigan Ave. Building. I'll be there starting around 11:00am... just let me know what time you'll be joining us! More details here.

Sooo.... Sara (@Tree City) is coming to visit and play tourist the first part of April and we thought it would be fun to have a TLP meet-up on Sunday, April 7th, if anyone is interested and available!! As for the actual meet-up, we could do one of two options 1) meet downtown and play tourist together or 2) meet at my house (still in Chicago, close to downtown) to hang out and chat. This is very early in the planning process (but is definitely happening), so feel free to make suggestions. We would love to meet more TLPers in real life!!

My vote is for whichever is closest to the South Shore train unless @Karen wants to swing down and pick me up on her way over. :giggle

Downtown/loop area would be super easy for those who take the train, while my neighborhood is easier/cheaper if people prefer to drive. It would be fun to all play tourist together! Glad to hear you're interested in joining us!

Yay, Chicago!!!

I used to really dread the trips to my in-laws in northwest Indiana, but now I'm wishing we still made them and I could possibly join you. They lived about a little over an hour outside of Chicago. Looking forward to seeing pictures!!

According to Google I'm 12 hours and 746 miles away, so I'll just hope to see photos! :D

Have a great time!

My daughter was invited to an Honors reception on the 8th and I was trying to get her to go back to Chicago for it, but she's missed a bunch of school due to college visits and adamantly said NO. :(

Have fun who ever gets to go!

Part of wants me to tell you to tell your daughter that school isn't important so you're going to play hooky and go to Chicago. But obviously that's not true, and she has a great outlook on school! It's great she's responsible!

right?! if my parents said hey- want to go back to chicago for a quick weekend (she was just there though) - i'd be like um, yeah! they did a lot so it wiped her out I think. and then catching up on all her classwork was rough. enjoy! from what i hear - it is a beautiful area! i will be thinking of you lucky gals!

How fun! I just checked my calendar and I'm free that day!! Yippee! I was just in Chicago for a whirlwind trip on Saturday. A friend of mine bought a car sight-unseen in Glenview. Another college friend of ours lives in Glenview and went and looked at the car for her, so I drove her over there to pick up her car and then we met for lunch along with another friend that lives near Tracie. It was fun but the drive home in the rainstorm was a bit terrifying.

Honestly I would be up for either one of the choices above... I just need to know which way you girls wanna go. If you go downtown, I'll take the Southshore in, if we go to Tracie's, I'll probably drive in. :agree

Yay! So it sounds like you are open to either, and @LeeAndra is also open to either, but perhaps it's easier to stay downtown?

Downtown would be fun. We could go sight seeing a bit, grab lunch together and maybe shop? I hope it's sunny and nice weather!!

But don't let me shop too much: I'm flying and I'm limiting myself only to carry-ons. :) And if the weather is bad, I bet Tracie will have local knowledge of indoor things to do.

I wanted to just say YES but I've been to Chicago a couple times and went to 'my' Mecca, a Lithuanian restaurant. I'll have to see how the rest of my month goes because I really need to make a trip south to see family first. Mixed feelings about that one...
