Anyone tried it? It's new here and I saw a pamphlet last week and just bought some. It's really yummy and surprisingly the same price as the other loaves!!
And check out the goodies in it...

Benefits include:

  • Source of Omega 3 ALA for a healthy body and mind.
  • Source of protein and high in fibre to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
  • Contains antioxidants for general wellbeing.
  • Source of key vitamins like thiamine, folate and minerals including magnesium and iron.
Chia is considered one of nature’s super foods with just two slices of Bakers Delight Chia Bread containing 60 per cent more fibre than regular supermarket white bread and half the total fat of other seed breads while providing, two to five times more omega-3 ALA* and two and a half times the level of antioxidants when compared to many other seeded and wholegrain breads.
Two slices alone contains 100 per cent of the adequate intake of Omega-3 ALA for children and women and 90 per cent for men, making it easy for all Australians to meet their daily needs.

I'll definitely be buying this stuff from now on...it makes me feel like my kids are at least eating something healthy! :lol

ooh I will have to see if our Bakers Delight are doing it yet. Sounds good.

Kaye have you tried their cranberry fruit loaf yet?? OMG it is so good!! I am having some now! lol

Shanna it is at our Bakers Delight stores and they cut it and put it in their normal bags so it has no special packaging. I have no idea if it is in the US at all but usually things are there before they come here!

no I haven't, I tend to go in and grab the same old same old. I really should take the time to have a look at what else they have. DH does the grocery shopping so it is rare for me to go up there but now I just have to!

I believe Bakers Delight is actually an Australian franchise, yay 1 for the Aussies!!

yep...but they are in NZ and Canada now as well. But they didn't invent Chia so I thought it might be in other places too.

yeah its nice to have one of our franchises going overseas rather than the other way around.

It sounds great! DH is in med school and has been telling me how much we need our omega 3s, so I would love for it to be here. i may have to do some googling to see if it is in the states at all.

The bread sounds good. I have a bag of chia seeds in my cupboard. Thought I would be making & drinking chia fresca. But keep forgetting about it. Maybe in the summer.
