Chapstick suggestions?

If you are past the commercial perfumed, and over the counter stuff, it might mean the vitamin B deficiency, what we found works *(though we are in Europe, and the names would be different) skin healing cream that is often used post op, and after burns - here it is called Bepanthen, and works like a dream, we had two cases of lips bleeding this winter, and Bepanthen was the only thing that helped, and then it is just being diligent about moisturizing them, be it with the chapstick or a slice of cucumber. :)

Another vote for Burts Bees! I get the tinted ones so I can get moisture plus a little color.

I use vaseline, we get little pocket size tins here and they are fab! My Fav's are the Aloe Vera and Cocoa Butter

When ever I have visited the USA I have picked up the little tubes of vaseline that are similar to lip gloss tubes as we cant get them here!

Ooh I forgot about Carmex! I grab the sticks of that when my lips get really chapped and love it - smells so good to me too.

I've never tried Burt's Bees but this thread has convinced me. Also, do we not all LOVE our chapstick or what?!

Also, do we not all LOVE our chapstick or what?!

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking! LOL

Thanks for the suggestions, I will be going to the store this afternoon and see what I can find.

Another vote for Burt's Bees here...we have a few scattered around the house and each of kids has one for their backpacks. It gets so bitterly cold here that chapped lips in the winter is a normal things.

I like Burt Bees Original for normal use, but if your lips are peeling use Blistex Cold & Allergy Lip Soother (Orange). It's in stick form so theres more control compared to some of the other gooey Blistex versions, it tastes good without being too tasty (and licking your lips making them worse), and it's an analgesic so it will make your lips feel better but won't sting like medicated and super minty (e.g. burt bees) chapsticks will. Heals my lips literally overnight. I swear by it!!!!

oh wow, never seen that one, I might try grabbing it today at Target.

Is the regular Burt's Bees minty? I've never used a minty one. Mine is honey and my lips smell delicious. :) But, I don't eat my chapstick.

Anymore.

I used to be a burts bees girl, but I found DoTerra's Peppermint and Wild Orange lip balm and it's amazing-er. (to me at least) It tastes SO good and makes my lips feel ever so loverly! :)

First, drink more water. That will keep you hydrated and keep your lips from getting so dry.

Second, are you all crazy? Carmex. All the way. I have tubes in my purse, by my bedside, at work... Carmex is the bomb.

When my lips are that dry, I always exfoliate them & then use a Vaseline type lip balm over night.

I have that song stuck in my head now cherry Chapstick,I really need to find something for my sons lips his are all chapped and the school are complaining now saying it looks like impetigo which it is not as I took him to the drs last week as they kept going on and on but I've used Vaseline but not helping
