I have a nearly 20 year old Gamer daughter, and since she was 12 years old, I have had to share a computer with her. It's been okay for the most part, but many times I want to scrap and cannot because she's on it with her friends gaming. We have never wanted to curtail that as she is homeschooled and sometimes that was her social interaction.

Well, today we plugged in her new gaming computer and I just "De-gamer'd" my work space.

I now have my iMac to myself!!! No sharing!!! MOC without interruptions, Here I Come!

Yay for you! I couldn't imagine having to share, when inspiration strikes I need to get at it! You'll love not having to share your space or computer.

Congratulations! And just in time for MOC. I agree with Rae, I have no idea how you shared.

OMG, I have sometimes let my kids use my computer and it drives me nuts. Plus I find all kinds of random school projects saved in weird places. So, CONGRATULATIONS on being free!

Yay! So exciting to have it all to yourself, especially with MOC coming! Enjoy!

I know if I had to share with my kids the way they use their x boxes over the last few years (thy are more in spurts type x box players) I would have become so frustrated and given up. I'm so excited for you! Cartwheels everyone! :P

Congratulations! I don't know how you shared all this time!

It was what I had to do. We couldn't afford a computer for Melissa until now. It wasn't as hard as you'd think because at least she was pretty good about sharing. The most frustrating thing was that she gamed on the PC side and I scrap on Mac OS, so I would come downstairs and she would have logged me out of the Mac side and logged into the Windows side so I had to restart the entire computer all the time. UGH!!

We kinda had a deal that the daytime was mine while she was doing school and at night she would get to play with her friends. I already love it. My desk has stayed clean and I don't have to log out of Windows and log into Mac so that I can scrap.

See above answer to Rae. It wasn't as horrible as it could be if I had a brat kid who didn't know how to share.

I'm happy about it too. I've paid my dues with sharing. LOL

My husband and I have been a one-computer-per-person family since even before we had kids. :D
