I told my 16 year old son I'd take him out of school at to Cedar Point for a day if he could make the honor roll 2 semesters in a row.

He's extremely brilliant, but also lazy and stubborn to the point that he almost flunked out of HS his sophomore year.

His junior year he spent in the culinary program at the career center and he's like a new kid. He loves it! AND, he got As in all his other subjects as well (except one.. language arts... laziness prevailed).

So, off we go today. The only day this week without rain in the forecast. Of course, it's supposed to be 89°. I'll probably die.

Congrats to your son!! I have a kid the same. Super smart but on the lazy side.
 
Fun fact: Cedar Point is the only place I've ever went to where I burned the back of my knees. Who knew that would hurt sooooo badly the week afterwards?!
 
well color me jealous! i LOVE Cedar Point, but haven't been for a few years! I think it was 2010 (or maybe 2009) the last time we were there. My parents used to have a boat that docked right outside of CP, but they sold it, and we haven't been back since. :cry
 
ohhh no...no way I'm getting on one of those rides!!!!!
