I ordered some clothes for our grandson from Carters.com as Christmas gifts - realized today I ordered the wrong size (he visited us today and I looked at the back of his shirt - whoopsie - he's growing!) ... I went into the order online and it is super easy to make a return - print off the shipping label (same way w/ Amazon) and send the goods back and wait for a credit. However; it stated I needed the original packing slip - which I don't have (I didn't even think to keep it!) So I called their customer service line to ask if it would be an issue to not have the packing slip - I talked to a very friendly rep - said she could email the packing slip to me so I could send the shirts back. That's easy. Then she looked and saw they don't have larger sizes in 2 of the 3 shirts I had ordered. Said I could get a refund instead of exchanging the items - which is fine with me. THEN told me - she had put through the info to issue the refund, but I didn't need to send the items back ... she asked that I donate them somewhere this holiday season - AND she put a voucher for 2 day shipping (worth $15) on my account for a future order. WOW - that is great customer service!! I will definitely shop @ Carters.com in the future!

Have you ever dealt with Carters.com?

I love Carters :) I was just looking there at clothes for my grandson. Love that you had such a great customer service experience with them.

That is just wonderful! This type of story always makes me happy, and super excited to share with others. It will come round back to them two-fold! We have a little Carters "outlet" store a couple miles away, and they always have the cutest items!

Carter's is my favorite kid's clothing store.

I am seriously so bummed that my daughter is 7 and too big for their clothes. There are a few bigger sizes online but none in stores.

I will probably cry in a few years when my 2-year-old outgrows them.

When my daughter was a newborn and toddler about 90% of her wardrobe consisted of Carter's clothes. I LOVE their stuff for littles. That is awesome customer service!!

I love Carter's five pack onesies and two pack pants for babies. They are perfect for my long bodied babies :)

I've never heard of them but i love that you got a refund AND they said to donate them somewhere - that's real holiday spirit and i've never heard of such a great customer service experience with a clothing store! (the customer service here is always great, but we all know that)

That is so cool! We were lucky enough to have a Carters in the center behind our house. That place was a godsend!

Yea for a good experience! The return process really says a lot about a store imho. And it warms my heart that they asked you to donate the too-small items!
When my DD was young, there was an issue with Carter's tagless clothes: some children were bothered by the ink used on the clothes. My DD was one of them, so I called the company and they sent me bags to mail back the clothes and then sent me a full refund for the items. I told her "I have a lot [like seriously, a lot] of tagless stuff, and NONE of it was bought at full price. My mom bought a lot of it and it was on sale." But she said that they'd issue a full credit cuz "what if you have to BUY the replacement items at full price?" Well, okay then! :) So that was a very easy experience and they sent me both the bags and then the check really quickly.
Speaking of stores, did y'all hear that Patagonia is going to donate $10M to charity? They'd promised to donate their Black Friday sales, and that's what they made. I think that's great too. (Sorry, not trying to hijack! Just wanted to spread that bit of happiness too!)
