I think the time has come for me to bite the bullet and get one..I've put it off for a long time mostly because I'm pretty much afraid no one will read it so having a blog would kind of be like talking to myself :D

I share things on Facebook, but I think it would be easier to do all of that stuff with a blog (especially because everytime I log into facebook I get sucked in and distracted and waste all sorts of time that I should not be wasting).

I cruised around the blog hop a little bit earlier today and you all have some awesome blogs, the headers, links..everything is alot of fun! I know of WordPress and Type Pad but that's about it...

I would love to know what you all use to blog! :thankyou

I started a bog 3 years ago because we moved away from all our family and I thought it would be a wonderful way that my family could still be connected to our life in some small way. I was a little bit of a slacker at first but now I just LOVE my blog. Even though I started it for the reason of family it has pretty much become the main avenue that I use to record my family's life. I try to blog several times a week, and now that I found the Blurb site where you can actually have your blog printed off into a bound book I am loving it even more. I use blogger and I have mine password protected because it is very detailed about my family and life with tons of pictures of my kids and there are waaaaaayyyyy to many weirdos on the web. I have several friends that I have invited to read it and all my family and I like when I see a comment that someone read what I wrote and liked it but I mainly do it for myself and my family. I think it's a fabulous way for my kids to be able to one day look back and see what our life was like in the ordinary everyday moments.

I don't know anything about typepad but blogger has been easy for me and I am VERY techi challenged. Through reading tutorials I have even learned to customize everything on it so if I can do it ANYONE can.

I actually have two blogs. One for my 365 project (I did it last year), that has turned into a blog for just my boys, and one that is for my scrapbooking. I started both of them beginning of 2009 but after a short while I stopped writing anything in my scrapbooking blog because I was like you, figuring no one was reading it anyway so why bother. Well, I decided a couple of weeks ago to start it back up again. I am using blogger too and it's been really easy for me. I am using a blog kit from Shabby Miss Jenn right now for my background and header, but would like to change it. It's pretty enough, but just not 'me'. But like anything else, it's just a matter of finding the time to make a new one. I look forward to seeing yours when you get it up and running.

i just celebrated my 4 year anniversary of blogging! go me! hee.

i've used blogger since the beginning and think it's still a very viable option. i just redid my blog about a week ago and really love the new look. there are still a few things i need to tweak but i'm past my general knowledge and need to have help from someone who knows a little code. but to get started you don't need to know any code - - it's very easy.

i'm going to have my blog printed and bound as well. there's alot of history there!

I love the idea of getting it bound and printed...thank you all so much for your help! I'm all excited now :)

I have had one for about five years now and really kept up with it until the past 9 months or so. Ironically, I've just decided to re-commit to doing it again and I'm looking forward to it. Here's my entry for today, about how I'm jumping back in to a lot of things.

Yes...the rumors are ALL true! Black Belt Scrapping

i started blogging a few years ago too... mostly because we're so far away from family, and the blog is one great way for them to all feel connected & feel like they're a part of the kids' lives, etc. besides the occassional glitch with formatting (which only ever really happens when you start messing with the code on your own... if you just stick to their stuff, you're safe), blogger has been a great option. it's easy & free. 2 bonuses! i have 2 blogs actually. my state of crazy is my every-day blog, and we have this moment is kind of a devotional type blog.

Kelly I have a blog too, although I don't update it nearly as often as I should! I use Blogger because I don't know how to use anything else, but maybe I'll try Wordpress. I'd like to have a section for my regular family stuff (photos, updates, what have you) and then another one for my scrapping stuff so that I can just combine them into one, basically. I'm totally FB illiterate so I don't update on there, LOL. :)

Kelly, this thread makes me once again get one, lol. I´m like you, always thinking about it but at least not giving a try because I´m scared that I won´t check how everything works!
Blogger is the easiest I think, but I always love how the wordpress blogs look a like!
