"Can you put this in Project Life, mommy?"

That is what my boys (8 years old) always say to me when they don't want to get rid of something.

Tonight, it was his rough draft and 'graphic organizer' of the paragraph that he had to write for school.

He is gathering his things and walks over and hands it to me and says "Would you put this in PL?"
I can't say no to these requests. I am helpless to them, because I love it so much that THEY love PL so much.:heartslub

So, do your kids make this request and what is the most recent thing they asked you to keep for them?

So sweet! Love that! :) I spent about an hour with my oldest over the weekend scanning in a bunch of his artwork and special school papers.. He lost interest before I finished, but is looking forward to me printing them and putting them in his binder.. It's so nice to be able to share these projects with them.. you know.. so they "get it"..

My little ones do that with my hybrid planner/smash book all the time. Since my PL is all digi, I don't get the random ephemera collected for that. The most recent was their favorite candy wrappers. Yep, I stapled them right in :). I catch my littlest telling other family members "Don't throw that away, Mom may want it for her book", hehe

I just love that! Memory keepers in the making.

My teenagers just roll their eyes (as does their dad), but that's OK. I'm pretty sure they would roll their eyes at anything.

Since mine is all digital, they'll ask me to take pictures of stuff... whether it's something they're doing or something they've made. I'm like you. I'm always happy to oblige.

That's so cool that they save stuff for you! How fun. My boys don't save stuff really, but when I whip out my camera or phone to capture something they are doing, they will ask me if I'm going to scrap those pics. Yes, yes I am! :)

Mine ask me to take photos since our album is all digi, too. I love it! They often don't want *their* pictures taken, but they ask me to take photos of their art and school work, favorite toys, games they won, etc.

This is the one and ONLY reason I sometimes wish I did a paper version of PL! With digi I just don't think to add those types of things... I have scanned a few things here and there but I know if I did a paper version I'd be adding a lot more "stuff".

When the kids say something interesting. My daughter will say " you're putting that in your book right!" And she already knows the photo moments, she reaches for the camera. Love it!

That is so sweet!! Since I only do digital PL and haven't printed off yet this year they haven't really asked about keeping anything but I did get busted a couple weeks ago by my 6 year old. She caught me "filing" (aka.. throwing away) some of her school papers.

I love that! I've been wanting to start my own PL but just didn't have enough time. Your story makes me want to MAKE the time. I think my kids will treasure a PL album a lot more than my artsy scrap pages that might mean a lot to me but have very little significance to them.

Doesn't it just make your heart melt? My littles both have "smashbooks" and they save things for their books in their own personal stash basket. They are already little memory keepers!
