I need some inspiration and ideas for 3 random photo's of my 2 yr old granddaughter goofing around, I use two page spreads and hope to get all 3 photos on two pages.

I am just NOT coming up with anything but am in the mood to get some pages done tonight.

well, i don't really scrap 2-pg spreads very often. so i'm not sure any of my layouts will be much help. :shrug

here are a few of my recent layouts that would work for 3 photos though.

Those are GREAT! If you dont do two page spreads how do you put them in your albums, I tried one page and thought it looked odd becuz the two pages never matched........ and it drove me crazy, lol.

Is that acrylic paint you used to write on the bottom layout?

I do a two page spread every once in a while. I did more when I first started out, but I have gotten away from it for most LO's. They started to limit me too much. For my albums, I don't worry too much about pages next to eachother. I will try a little bit to put similar color ones next to eachother, but I have just gotten to the point where I am happy that they are in albums and kids can look thru them (and hopefully future generations!)
Here is one of my two page spreads:

I have found Karah's frames and templates to be a great inspiration starter!!!

It's one of CD's gorgeous alphas, the Stand Tall Alpha. ;)

I don't do 2-pagers much, but I do matching pages. For example, I've been working on an album on my mom's visit and here are a few matching pages (they are all linked to the gallery so you can see them bigger and find the products used too):

And here is another spread I made recently:

like Amanda said, I don't get too hung up on whether the pages that are side by side match exactly. i do try to put 2 pages together that have coordinating colors if i can. and sometimes i will scrap more than one layout for an event, so those typically end up together and usually match well enough. however, there have been a few times where the 2 layouts that fall next to each other just dont work for whatever reason (either the spacing is weird or the colors clash or its too busy or whatever). in those cases, i fill one of the spots with a blank piece of coordinating cardstock. and then sometimes if i have ephemera ... ie ticket stubs, kid art, etc... i'll fill in those spots with the extras.

i made the choice to stop doing 2 page spreads as the norm for a few reasons. 1, it was pretty limiting to feel like i HAD to fill up 2 pages if i just didn't feel like it. and 2, COST. if i could scrap a story on 1 12x12 instead of 2, then my printing cost and album space requirements were cut in half. simple as that.

the alpha on the bottom layout is:

it's one of the alphas in my scrapping stash that i use VERY often. i love it! (same as in my signature)

Ok now, I am probably gonna sound dumber then a box of rocks here...... I know these are all digital layouts (which I have not done so far) so I have a couple questions. First if you prefer to scrapbook the old fashion way and have paper products etc..... can you do that with these kits? If so how? My other question is if it is digital, how do you print out a 12 x12, I have looked for 12 x 12 scanner and printer and have found none, so how do you do it?

The answer is yes - you can print out the papers and elements (and cut them out). Or you can create your layout completely digitally and then have that printed at a printers (most do 12x12in and usually costs < $2.50 here). If you think about the cost of all the paper products on a typical scrap page, that is pretty cheap.

There are some 12x12 printers available but I don't know which are good (and which are affordable).

Most of my gallery is multi-photo pages. Some double pages, most single pages. You can click through on the "My Gallery" button on this post. :)

yep, what heather said. you can use digital products in a hybrid sense by printint the papers / elements and using them on a paper-scrapped layout.

there are also several print services around. i usually pay about $1.50 - $2.00 per 12x12 page for printing. i guess it depends on where you are. another option that i've done several times is to finish the pages digitally, and then upload them to shutterfly (or another photo / album service of your choice), load them all into an album in the order you prefer, and have the album printed. That tends to be about $50is for a 12x12 album with 20 pages, or a small aditional charge for any pages beyond 20. there are lots of great album services available, just search around online a bit. i LOVE this print option for gift albums especially. i find it to be MUCH cheaper than printing pages separately and then putting them in my own scrapbook album because there's no cost of buying the album or the page covers.

I love printing my LO's as 8 x 8's - I won't pay more than .99cents and like paying .79 cents better, so I wait for sales!!! I like my books to be a bit smaller and little more "tote-able", so that is what I chose when I started digi. Definitely check out our hybrid section to see what you can do with the product to make them a little more "paper" scrapbook ready too! So fun that you are checking into all of this!!! Ask away on those questions!!!

I usually dont bother printing pages anymore and just get photobooks printed.
I do use digital products with traditional products and do both digital and traditional pages. I also have a large format printer which does help with hybrid pages, but it isn't necesary.

everyone was super helpful in this thread and I don't have much to add, but anytime you are in these forums you can click on the "My Gallery" little button on the upper right of any post to go to a persons gallery. Handy dandy!!
