Our electric pencil sharpener decided to die the night before the first day of school when I needed to sharpen a gazillion pencils for the kids. I was perusing Amazon for a replacement and I came upon this cute little thing. It was reasonably priced so I decide to buy it and try it out:

I have to say I love it. It really sharpens well and faster than our electric one did. It's not the most intuitive thing to use so I wouldn't recommend it for little kids who could potentially break it. It is so darn cute!

I just wanted to share since I know most of us love our cameras!

We've been seriously thinking about buying an electric pencil sharpener here since DD is always misplacing her little plastic ones. I may just have to buy this instead. It looks awesome and may just be big enough for DD not to lose all the time.

That is the cutest!

My grandmother had one of those old school ones mounted to the wall in the basement. I always thought the basement was an odd place for it until I had 5 kids. The sound of them sharpening their pencils makes me a bit nutty (we have an electric one). Almost wish I'd taken the pencil sharpener when we cleaned out the house. That thing worked great!

I might order one of these! Maybe it will be less fun for them and they won't sharpen as much. :giggle

that's too cute! in our house - built in 1951 - we have one of those old crank ones mounted on the wall in our basement. it totally takes me back to elementary school when I use it!

I love this! Although I have no use for a pencil sharpener. That is the only reason I'm holding back and it's not in my cart, LOL.

I love that! We have a super duper old one that has a suction cup thing on it with a lever to stick it to the counter to use it and a crank. It works so well and I just keep in on the shelf in the kitchen. :) I almost want that one though because it looks so much cuter! :)

Yep! My grandmother's house was built in 1949! It must have been the thing to do. lol

Oh that is just the cutest. Now I want one... and I don't even have any pencils to sharpen. :giggle:
