Camera and New Year

Great idea!!

This is what I do~
When I bring in my LR photos I rename: Year-Mo-Day-Name-#
My phone pix come through dropbox and get renamed by their date.

I know it's more work for me, but I like to have the date on the file name. I'm finding that my computer sometimes changes the metadata and photo date information. It drives me crazy.

1 folder for the year would drive me insane!

Trust me, Cheryl doesn't get how I can have everything jumbled either! But it makes sense to me.
Especially since I started using Lightroom. I can mark all the photos from a vacation, and I don't have to worry about what day it was. I can usually reminder the year and season. So it's easier for me to look for a photo in summer months without having to open a lot of folders.

I should note Lightroom says I took almost 10,000 photos this year....{not including scan photos}

I love that there are so many ways to do things we can make it work for us!
