I just got my annual bloodwork results back and my calcium levels are low, so I’d love your help with ideas to get more calcium.

What are your go-to calcium-rich foods?
Are there any calcium supplements you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

dairy is the obvious one. Any crunchy fruits and vegetables that have a firm structure contain calcium. E.g. Apples & Quinces, Cauliflower and Broccoli.
If you are not vegetarian, then making your own stock from bones will give you extra calcium too.
Magnesium and Vit D help you use Calcium, if those are insufficient you won't absorb Calcium from your diet.

now I remember that I need to check my calcium...oh my...I don't take suplements but I think I should...

I don't drink milk so I eat a lot of yogurt... I also get juice with calcium. I eat veggies with calcium and of course cheese being from the cheese state... so far its been pretty good

I don’t drink milk either but I love cheese so I’ll up the cheese intake.

I have no idea if it's in a good or bad range. I eat a lot of the foods mentioned so.... until I get blood work, I'll hope for the best. lol!

Cheeeeeesssseeeeeee I could live on it! :giggle

My favorite is to melt cheese on tortilla chips for nachos. Going to have some right now!

How about pudding? Like made from scratch with milk?
I haven't got mine checked, so hopefully my calcium is okay. It's my iron that's always low.

Mmmm pudding is a great idea! I love tapioca pudding.

I don't have any great advice for you. I take a lot of supplements. But I'm totally taking notes on this thread :)
