I hope everyone who can gets their regular mammograms!

The wonderful @MrsPeel asked about an update on my breast cancer diagnosis. My first biopsy results said the two smallest masses were benign, I'm pretty sure I told y'all that already. Yay! My second biopsy by xray on May 24 didn't work. They see a mass on all the mammograms but can't see it on sonogram or on xray - it's on the chest wall and they can't get to it. I'm scheduled for an MRI on June 8 and they will decide if they are going to do surgery. The doctor said it is either surgery or "wait and see" and I'm not happy just waiting. It's the army, though, so I don't know how much my opinion matters.

Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers. Your concern means the world to me! When I know something else I'll let you all know. Please, if you or someone you love goes through a cancer scare, let us know so we can support you. It makes such a difference.

Love and hugs~

Thank you for the update. Wow, that 3rd one is being troublesome isn't it? Praying that it is nothing major and that the MRI will give you a good idea what it is. Keep us posted and remember you can always come here and share your concerns and bad days as well. We're here for you. Venting is allowed here, or just saying those things on your mind that you don't want to tell someone visible. Take care. Oh and army explains so much. Good care just slower.

Mary, thanks so much for the update.... I have been thinking of you lots, and we have you in our prayers.
I would say relax...and, I know about not having much input when is the Army's, it works more or less the same here.... but before you go for surgery, I would suggest you look for a private doctor as a second opinion.... here sending you all the love I can send through the optical wire, and continue to have you in our prayers :heartlub

Mary, positive thoughts and keep that chin up! Thank you for keeping us posted! Sending love and hugs - Please share if there is something you might need. :)

I was waiting for the update. Hang in there Mary. It's been good so far, no reason it shouldn't stay good news. You're in my thoughts & prayers.

I hadn't seen the other update, so I'm glad to see that so far it's been positive news. Now to get the final positive news on the last spot so you can breathe and relax again! :)

Thinking of you Mary. Good news that the small ones were benign, hoping the other is as well. We all have our virtual {{hugs}} surrounding you as you wait.

best wishes Mary i hope you get good news. I just got an appointment for a mammogram and didn't really want to go but you've convinced me

Good news about the first two lumps. Hoping the third is the same. Sending you virtual hugs!

I think they are so important. They can find cancer or what might be cancer when nothing else can. The sooner it is found the better your odds of survival. It is only slightly uncomfortable to get "squished" and I can't believe I used to be so scared of that. Totally doable and worth it.

Let us know how your mammogram turns out. We like good news and are here to support the waiting-to-know-more news, too.

Hugs to you, Mary. You're in our prayers! :heartslub

My mom's a breast cancer survivor, and hers was brought on my taking HRT for years (I'm staying far away from that nasty stuff). She had a lumpectomy/radiation at the time, and it stayed away for 23 years. It came back a few years ago, and this time they had to do a mastectomy. It's still there, it's a very slow-moving kind, and the docs said that it will most likely be old age (or something else) that gets her. (She's 89 now and still going.) The drugs she would need to keep the cancer in check was just too painful for her, so she's hanging in there.

Mary, you're a trooper!!! So glad for the good results and praying those kind of results continue to come your way. A dear friend of mine, here in Alpena, has been battling for 2 years now. Double mastectomy and lots of nasty treatments. She is a pillar of strength who usually holds us up!!! She is hanging in there. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary, thanks for he shout out about mammograms...you have probably saved some lives today. Good luck on your next appointment.
