I'm a bad bad breakfast eater. Meaning - I skip it more days than I eat it. I think I've discovered it's because I'm not fond of sweet in the morning. Any other time of the day - I enjoy sweets. But not in the morning. This morning I had a diced potato cooked with egg. I forgot how much I enjoy that.

How about you? Are you a breakfast eater? Breakfast Skipper? What's your favorite breakfast?

Since I retired I had been eating either a pop tart or a pack of 2 nutty bars for breakfast. A couple days a week ago I had oatmeal since it was so cold. Today I fixed an egg like I did for lunch yesterday. It really didn't take long so I just need to do this or the oatmeal everyday so that I have something better for me than pop tars or nutty bars. :giggle

Most days I do eat breakfast...today I lolly gagged in bed until 8:30, threw myself into the shower and was out the door by 9 to hit Goodwill so I didn't get breakfast :( I typically have the incredible edible eggs.

I've been having the same exact breakfast every morning...eggs, an english muffin, and a banana. It's simple and usually keeps me satisfied until lunch.

On work days, I eat every morning...2 hard boiled eggs and an English muffin. I'm not much for anything sweet for breakfast....french toast occasionally, but that's about it and I usually have it without syrup. On the weekends, if I have breakfast, it's because DH cooked it for me, otherwise I don't eat until late afternoon. One thing I can't do is eat first thing in the morning. I just don't have the stomach for anything but coffee for an hour or two.

I eat breakfast almost daily, but I usually skip lunch. I eat eggs, usually scrambled and sometimes I put them in a burrito wrap with cheeze (non dairy cheese). I usually have a hashbrown and/or toast and sometimes I add in bacon or sausage. On special days I make pancakes from scratch with pure maple syrup and bacon.

But pop tarts are so easy!

So, did you get anything good at Goodwill?

I love english muffins. We just never seem to have them in the house.

Me too! I don't like to eat until about 60-90 minutes after I've gotten up minimum. Usually, when I skip breakfast, it ends up being 2pm before I realize I'm hungry!

my favourite breakfast is scrambled eggs on toast.
Mmm! I wanted that this morning but we had no bread.

On special days I make pancakes from scratch with pure maple syrup and bacon
That sounds delicious!

Right! My DH can jump out of bed and want breakfast immediately and I'm all like "blechhhhhh"!

I feel like I answered this question already with the recent thread about eggs. :D I've been hooked on scrambled egg and veggie burritos for a few years now. Not sweet, and very nutritious! Less than once a week I might have something different than eggs, like pancakes or oatmeal, but then I get hungry again sooner.

I have to eat breakfast with protein or I don't function well. I even fainted twice in my life -- once as a older teen, then again as a young adult -- both times after I'd skipped breakfast.

I do go out on my morning walks before eating breakfast, but I eat as soon as I get home.

@bestcee Other than my white elephant gift for the girls, I found a really cute (well, I think it's cute) Heritage 1981 plaid wool moto jacket for $7.50!

I have to eat breakfast. On weekdays, I'll have toast with butter and my green shake on my commute (school runs then work). When I get to work, I typically have breakfast there. Boiled eggs, sausage and cheese along with cup of hot tea. On weekends, DH typically cooks but if he doesn't, I'll make fried eggs, breakfast meat and toast w/butter. I will skip lunch if I end up too busy but I'll always have a fruit with me so I can have a snack.

I’ve been trying to be good, diet wise and have been eating oatmeal every morning. I really would rather just skip it. I do like going out for a late breakfast...love Eggs Benedict.

This is always an issue with me because I just want coffee...then I am full. haha! or, not being a sweet eater, I want something substantial in case I skip lunch, which also happens a lot.

It helps me to make mini casseroles and such. I make one Cheryl @gonewiththewind shared with us at a retreat one year. Sooooo delicious- it is sorta like this one minus the cheese - but that sounds good too, LOL!

When I brown the sausage, I use onion bits/garlic but pretty much the same thing after

That looks so good @Danyale !
I do try to eat breakfast every day ... but it's always 2 cups of coffee first. I am usually a plain yogurt and a little fresh fruit ... or oatmeal girl. I always make the oatmeal myself - just adding nuts, almond milk - whatever fruit is in season and maybe some unsweetened coconut flakes. I make enough variations that it keeps me interested. Once in awhile I will have a bowl of cold cereal w/almond milk ... my favorite is muesli.

People! Breakfast is the best meal of the day. LOL! I look forward to bkfst every morning.

I do much better if I eat a no sugar bkfst. So I usually stick to eggs, bacon or sausage. Sometimes I scramble them, sometimes I eat them over easy, sometimes I eat them with cheese, sometimes I eat them with spinach and tomatoes, sometimes I'll eat an egg sandwich... And I always have coffee.

About once a week I get tired of eggs and I'll make pancakes. I make them with oatmeal, cottage cheese and egg whites. I put greek yogurt and fruit on top.

On days where I don't eat eggs for brkfst I'll make them for lunch.

I'm one of those people that has to eat breakfast or I'm a total PITA! :madness DH knows its better not to talk to me until I have had a coffee and breakfast. Most days its poached or scrambled eggs, english muffin or oatmeal (with added fruit, flax seed, nuts).

The dog and I walk first and then have breakfast. For me, it is usually eggs, but sometimes a quiche (dd is bringing left-over mini ones from her work), or half a bagel. I always have a V8 or one of the V8 healthy juices and coffee.

Today I had 2 sausage balls left over from the Sweet 16 party on Sunday, along with coffee. Sausage balls are a Southern expectation on Christmas parties - bulk sausage, Bisquick, and cheddar cheese mushed together, rolled into small balls and baked.

Gosh! I’m amazed at all of you meal skippers! I’d die to death if I skipped a meal! :giggle I leave for work at 6:30am so I don’t have time to eat at home and if I ate that early I’d be starving by my noon lunch break, so I take a frozen breakfast sandwich (croissant, turkey sausage and egg white) or a breakfast burrito that I can heat up in the microwave at work. I went through a long oatmeal phase too, but the little packets don’t quite get me through to lunch either. But anyway, yes, I’m definitely a breakfast eater.
