Cath, I think we are more likely to enable you in your addiction! I know I am also addicted ;)
I set myself a budget for each month and make a list for that month to keep track of my spending. It's so easy to spend a lot because it's just a few $$ here and there - but it all adds up.

Having said that, I have gone over budget this month because of the quarterly sale and Amy's Retirement sale!!

I know I have mentioned this before, but Craft Artist is a great way to digiscrap, but it also is perfect for organising your stash :)

Try not to stress too much. Sometimes I feel a bit guilty when I have bought a kit and not used it. So I open it up and just have a play, not worring to much about the final layout or the theme. Sometimes I have a 'eureka' moment and find a photo that looks perfect and I keep the layout. Sometimes I don't save what I've made. Doesn't matter too much as long as you have a bit of fun or even just escape from daily routines for a few hours.

I'm afraid I can't help you in your addiction either, I just looked at my PayPal account and saw all the payments to TLP this month :whistle

As for scrapping, I know there a few different programmes out there besides PS. I've never used it but I know a few use Gimp (free I think) or older versions of PSE, I used PSE 5 for quite a while then jumped up to PSE 7.

"by month" would never help me. I would forget when I bought it... or i'd stress about whether to store by release date or buy-date. pass.....
I still sort mine by store>designer
for M3 I just have store>m3>month
for BYOC, i still keep all the pieces with the designer, but I also copy the preview into a BYOC folder.... just so I know what all I have from each BYOC color palatte....

....or, i just scroll through the TLP store and look for "already purchased" underneath. :giggle
I also have been trying to maintain a Pinterest board of everything I buy - so that I can scroll through it quickly by pictures.

I would say just one thing at a time - folder by folder, and try not to stress too much. You may find that you get into a really good flow of how to go about things, and it ends up going faster. To stop a downloading habit years ago, I had to walk away. I am dangerously close again, so I feel your pain! No help though. I still buy a ton more than I should.

I have had that very same problem. :/ I can't tell you how scary it is to look at my Paypal over the past couple of years. But the thing that has helped me is to really look at a kit and try to decide if I can really see myself using it for the pics I know I have or whether I'm just buying it because it is fresh and new and I like it. It takes a ton of willpower though. I've pretty much stopped buying things from other stores/designers because it was just getting to be too much. LOL. Now I'm trying to be really picky about my purchases.

Total hoarder here. I have my own addiction going on. I can easily find things though because of ACDSee. I took a class from Jessica Sprague years ago by Kaylee Lamboraux which got my flow set up. I started tagging things with a check mark if it's new and I haven't used it yet. That way I can sort and find all the kits with that check mark and find a new one to use.
