How much time do you need to read?

Do you want a live chat?

How would you feel about reading "Matched" by Ally Condie along with "The Giver" since there has been some interesting press commentary about the two?
 
I highly recommend Matched! I read it when it first came out and she is having two more released this Nov and the next one. :) I am excited to read the giver and compare them!

I don't need hardly any time to read so I will let you guys decide that and a live chat would be oodles of fun!
 
If I have all the free time in the world, I can read quickly.

But.

Free time is in short supply, especially with summer break and a house full of kids. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat???

I'd say I need a few days a chapter.

Chat would be great!
 
I am a freakishly fast reader, so I don't want anyone to be left out because they needed more time. Could everyone have both books read by June 8th?

ETA: Clearly, I meant July 8th. LOL
 
I'm up for that for sure! Only June 8th is totally not doable. :giggle
 
I'm a super fast reader, and not opposed to ignoring my kids for a few hours for a good book, but I think June 8th might be pushing it! Muhaha! :giggle
 
I can read quickly too. I read Matched last year, but I haven't read the Giver.

I'd love to chat! Life is still pretty crazy for me right now but I'll chat if I can.
 
I can read fairly quickly if needed and I can do both books by then.

I'd love to do a chat if I'm home!

I think I could read both books by July 8. I will also have to finish book 4 and read all of book 5 of the fever series, but that shouldn't be a problem. :). Also, I'd love a chat, but also a discussion thread here too for those that can't make a chat.
 
i can read them both by then :) woohoo! i am downloading the giver now - will start with that one :)
 
I will be giving them both a try & can probably meet the july8th deadline. The chat part just depends on who is home at the time of the chat, etc. Historically I have had a hard time getting on schedule for live chats but I would love to try for it.
 
I think a chat sounds super fun. I just read Matched a couple months ago and The Giver isn't too long, so I think that sounds great.
 
i read the giver in highschool, so that one should be a quick read for me - i don't remember it being exceptionally long anyway. just DLd and will start reading if i can bring myself to. i just started reading book 1 of the fever books, and i gotta say right now i would much rather be reading that. ;)
 
The Giver was crazy short so I think you guys should read Matched too hahaha! I read The Giver this afternoon in just a couple hours. :)
