When you dress, do you dress to blend in or to pop/stand out? Do you tend to wear neutral or muted colors, or do you like to wear bright things? What about clothes with sayings? Patterns? Is it a conscious decision? Or do you not give it much thought? And on a side note, do you dress the opposite from the way you scrap or are your fashion and scrap styles similar??

I just bought some fun t-shirts from an online store that has a lot of fun/funky different designs created from designers all over the world. I've been buying a bunch of X-Files related shirts lately. Today, I wore one that says "Trust no one" on it in the X-Files font. I never realized how much it would cause people to comment or start discussion. It was after the third comment when I realized that I usually only wear plain/solid colors and try to blend in. I'm definitely not comfortable with standing out or having people notice me. :giggle

What about you??

I am a blend in girl too, my Wedding Day was hard - I remember hating that everyone turned and stood as I entered. Weird, I suppose? I am far more comfortable hiding against a wall somewhere or helping out in the kitchen.
I really don't know about my scrapping behaviour. My Gallery I do appreciate Gallery Standouts and Froggy favourites so maybe Stand out?

blend.. i like to just be not seen or over looked. (no like someone saying, your hand always shake like that, or why are you so skinney)

I never wore bold color colors. I kinda admired my husbund's sister, how she would where a tee top and a flannel shirt.
So I live in a solid tee and a bland looking flannel. Which one day, i need to go shopping and find me more, as these are as thin as can be...

I'm both. I wear a lot of black, gray and brown with jeans or sweats but also have lots of color, especially pink, orange and blue. It just depends on my mood.

I used to be a blender .... but I have noticed as I get older that I am more willing to buy a brighter top, or a bolder coloured dress. It doesn't seem to bother me as much these days what people think of me.... I even like to colour my hair purple every now and then too ;)

I don't intentionally try to stand out, but I have lots of brightly colored tops. Summer is for coral, orange, pink. Winter is for richer but still vibrant jewel tones. My wardrobe of black slacks/tops is larger than I'd like it to be but I need it for piano gigs. Most concerts don't want me to show up in an orange tank top :giggle All my pants are neutral (black/gray/brown) but I'm tempted to buy a pair of dark red corduroy. I don't really do patterns, except on scarves, which are also quite colorful! And I have an extensive collection of colorful earring. I even have a few pairs of brightly colored shoes - orange and coral. The other day I wore a burnt orange sweater, brighter orange scarf, orange-y earrings and my bright orange flats. Got a few comments about how seasonal I looked. :)

My whole closet is pretty much black, grey, brown, and beige...lots of earthy tones. But, I don't wear them to blend in, I just don't look good in bright colors. They really wash me out. I'd love to wear them and I do have a few bright tank tops and stuff, but I don't wear them often. A lot of my neutral colors are in bold patterns (if that makes sense). I love great patterns. I make up for the lack of color with lots of bold jewelry and funky patterns!I would probably say that I dress more to stand out, even if it's with more neutral colors.

I realized a while back how similar my taste in clothes is to my taste in scrapping supplies. I am always more drawn to neutral, earthy colored kits, and I have a really hard time with bright colors, especially the primary colors.

y'know i realised the other day how many striped tops i have - and stripes are probably one of my go-to's pattern wise in scrap backgrds. I also buy shirts that have prints on them that i think 'that would be a great digi brush' - i then rethink my purchase after trying it on and thinking maybe i stand out too much and wear the safer stripes...
i do have a lot of solid colour shirts for times i think 'i just can't handle head to toe black' but again i consider them safe.

I like a variety of colors and stuff on my shirts. My husband says I dress like our 12 year old son - who borrows my clothes on a weekly basis. Anytime someone says something about what's on my shirt, I say "thank you" then have to look down to see which shirt I'm wearing. :D

I love black, and navy. My clothes reflect this, and it's a running joke between some friends... I do occasionally wear a right colored shirt, and it throws people off. :giggle Mostly it's paired with jeans.

Though with that said, I also love me a good jean and graphic tees. That's my favorite and my go to, besides black. I have a bunch of Hello Kitty, Mickey, and old school like cereal or game ones. I want to get some new ones!

Justine, that is so funny to me... I don't usually wear stripes. :giggle I think I have 3 shirts with stripes on them.

I dress in colors that blend, but my shirts (a big collection of Star Wars and geeky tees + a healthy collection of Life is Good designs) tend to stand out IF people take the time to look at them. The gray, black, and brown section of my closet is rather large, though I have been buying some brighter plaid camp shirts for the past year or so, and every once in a while one comes out. My pants are still a sea of khaki, though!

I definitely do not like to be the center of attention. I tend to wear a lot of black and neutral colors, but I do like the pop of a bright scarf or another accessory to lighten things up a bit.

Interesting question comparing our clothing style to our scrapping style! I never considered that before, and for me it's often different. I'm a much more colorful scrapper than dresser! I was so excited last night, after receiving the coupon in the Thankfulness chat, to realize I could get Gina Miller's colorful Outspoken elements. I've been enjoying using her Outspoken pages for many months.

I've never been interested in fashion and I'm quiet until I'm comfortable in social situations. I don't crave a spotlight nor wish to stand out. I like it when a photo or scrapbook page of mine receives compliments though!

I've always been most comfortable in jeans and t-shirts, usually solid colored. And in recent years I've even narrowed my colors down down to mostly blue! Because I look best in blue. I have one yellow t-shirt that I like to wear on cloudy days though! :)
